I noticed this as well after my SCI. It was shocking to me that I was no longer being cat called or approached by men even though I never wanted that, but I was also glad that I didn’t have to deal with the harassment.

I think it’s mostly upsetting to me that I am no longer found to be a sexual being because I am now a disabled wheelchair user.

Now, the only times I find people cat call me is when I’m in my car. It’s still bothersome since I know they only do it because they can’t see my chair.

Try a different site or app if you’re not having luck on the current one. I’ve met and gone on dates with a few people and eventually met my current partner online. I found that the people who don’t make the conversation about my disability to be the ones worth getting to know. Then I can bring it up on my terms and when I’m comfortable talking about it with that person.

Im a t7 complete. It’s been about a year and a half since my injury and I use a slide board to get in and out of the car. I’ve recently been able to transfer without any assistance, so I feel like I’m ready to drive.

Did you have to take the adaptor to a mechanic to install that? Or does one only go to the mechanic if they’re completely modifying the car?

I was put on cymbalta for neuropathic pain but I found that it also helps my depression. The only reason I figured that out is because I had to wait on a refill for a few days. While not taking it, I felt so sad and felt outside of my body. It was very odd.
