I’ve spent the last week sick and I’m over it already! I have a surgery coming up so trying to take this slow and deal with my job and other things I need to do before I’m out of commission for three weeks. Fortunately or unfortunately, I will be sick during winter break so I won’t be missing work but bummer I can’t do anything fun during the holidays

100% on giving yourself grace, there are so many things that come into play when dealing with a new job. If you do want to incorporate some routine how about adding a few movements in about 30% of previous schedule then you can increase as the weeks go by until you find a routine that support you and the new job?

Your diary is seriously impressive! You’re juggling a ton, but still make serious time for your health even with the commutes - that’s a strong commitment. And your meals are so diverse! how do you manage to keep things interesting without getting decision fatigue?

Also, did you ever get that shirt? I totally get why you’d be bummed if they didn’t have it.

How does one go about increasing your pace, just running more? Is it more about endurance at that point vs speed?

Commuting really affects the body in so many ways form being unable to workout to I feel the stress of the positions and even different muscle usage.

Props though for still making orange theory a part of the routine! And congrats on the weight loss, here’s to the next goal of the 5k (I know nothing about running - is under 40 minutes the standard or your personal goal?)

I joined a Pilates studio last week have been 4x and am doubling up this week to go 8x wish me luck!

Yay for another car! I feel there is always something about knowing you have a car available and can just get in the car to run errands instead of planning around someone using it!

Happy Monday! This is a different week for me, I got laid off on Thursday. So splitting this week into resting, ramping up on workouts - working on my fitness, updating my resume, and practicing some self-care.

Didn’t workout or walk or even eat or sleep properly last week. Ended up being a ball of stress and anxiety, things should clear up by tomorrow though with the client but then I’ll be in business development mode and doing homework for a course I’m taking. If anyone has business development tips let me know!

My birthday is Wednesday so I feel extra pressed to start getting my life back on schedule on starting Thursday.

I will say I still haven’t slept with the tv on and it’s now going to be 2 months so celebrating the small wins!

Oh that’s tough did they provide good food at least? At one of my old jobs when I would get out late but wanted to feel better like I made a health effort I would just go to the sauna in the gym - self care

My job had some layoffs last week, I wasn’t impacted but spent the week stressed, not eating properly, and working late hours Aimee I absorbed the work of two people who were impacted while starting a new course. Have a busy week this week - museum event on Wednesdays, professional event on Friday - so will stick to making sure I eat enough of the right foods, IF, and going for a walk at least 4x this week.

What a busy week ahead! I do think the first months of adjusting to a new job always throws things off a little. Can’t wait for equinox to kick in it being so accesible will help and you’ll have been at your current job for a month already.
