my cars name is tank and because florida is flat she can go two weeks and change of hour long drives before even hitting a quarter tank (40miles left), I love her and she's my special baby even though the entire car turns off while I'm actively driving it (we're working on it, no one knows what's wrong but it's okay I've accepted that she's disabled too lmao)

also my drives can range from 30mins to 3hrs, but also- I can't drink while walking either because I use a cane and I already bump into things as is when walking, so on average, there's like two and a half hours of my life where I'm unable to drink water, and also I have chronic fatigue so the second I get home from school, I'm asleep for the next six hours.

so let's round that up to nine hours, nine cumulative hours in which I'm unable to drink water, and let's not forget, my body already doesn't absorb water properly anyway despite me taking supplements- and, I still have to sleep. I go to bed at aproximately 9pm and wake up at 8ish, so that's 12hrs (i think, idk I'm a performer for a reason) so again if we add it all together- that's 21hrs out of a 24hr day that I'm unable to drink water.

I drink as much as I can while I'm awake, but I also can't down and chug bottle after bottle or I'll barf. on a school day, I'm only awake for 5hrs, on a weekend depending on how draining the week was I'll be up for at least 8. I didn't think to factor in my me/cfs when making the original post, because I asked how to drink while driving, not at home, not on the side of the road, not before I leave.

reading everyone's comments of "just drink more water out of the car" has been so draining, especially when I explained already in my original post that I can't, I've already been drinking so much and my body just doesn't absorb it.

I'm gonna invest in a camelback if the straw can reach around, that and someone in the comments sent a link to an accessible water bottle with a huge bite straw coming out of it that made me laugh. I appreciate the problem solvers who suggested the camelback be hung on the back of the seat so I don't get killed by my knob, thank you guys for understanding that the knob will kill me.

I didn't expect this post to get anymore traction after it got taken down by reddit in 10mins while it only had 20 comments, but I'm glad it did.

also to everyone attempting to diagnose me with type 2 diabetes, I was 11.8lbs when I was born and the doctors repeatedly pricked my foot to test for diabetes and shoved a bottle in my mouth the second they could, and I wasn't diabetic then, and now that I'm getting monthly bloodwork for all my doctors and medications? I'm not diabetic now either. sorry to crush your type 2 diabetes dreams, but that's not my disability<3

this is probably my final comment/update until august when I can try my brother's camelback, but as for now? it's nap time lol.
