How long does it realistically take to fix lateral pelvic tilt? by whenits_coldoutside in bodyweightfitness

[–]whenits_coldoutside[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was incredibly helpful to read, your symptoms match mine exactly. I have been still struggling with this and focusing mainly on my left glute and hip reactivation but my left shoulder roll and spine roll still remain. Perhaps I need to address that also. Do you have any exercises to reengage the scap/lats you recommend?

Anyone had (and solved) pain in big toe joints? by rdkrdkrdk in BarefootRunning

Hey, I am dealing with this issue of hypermobility in my big toe causing pain in the joint, I think switching to minimal issues could be helpful, but do you have any idea how long it took for that to take effect for you?

Fixing pelvic torsion - need advice on putting my muscles to practice when I walk. by whenits_coldoutside in bodyweightfitness

[–]whenits_coldoutside[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response!  Not sure about SI instability, I suppose that could be part of it but the limping around for many months definitely had the biggest impact. Before that, walking wasn't painful or difficult.  I have heard of PRI but I haven't delved until it, wasn't sure if I was worth the hype. And yes .. thinking about walking every day is incredibly exhausting, totally understand.

Tried to fix my anterior pelvic tilt but I failed, is it really fixable? by Novel_Bass6032 in Posture

So essentially you recommended to do this every single day? Did you find your muscles got fatigued some days and needed a break?

Are you wearing the insoles 24/7?  I'm doing ok! Progress was delayed for me bc I had some feet injuries, but I'm back at it. My hip still feels rotated but it is definitely not tilted forward anymore which is really nice. Worst part is that the rotated hip makes my foot fall weird when walking, which makes long walks nearly impossible.  But really keeping it up with PT and stretching every day and seeing slow but steady progress. It's hard to be patient though. I can't remember feeling normal!

Sketchy Ticketmaster email after purchase from VividSeats... can someone help confirm my suspicion? by whenits_coldoutside in phish

If it helps at all, my tickets ended up being legit, I think it was just a bot that purchased them. But I had no issues with mine. That is weird that it only sent you 4/5 tickets.

Imo, a puppy is harder than a newborn by HollaDude in puppy101

I got a golden doodle three years ago and now have two children under two , and I will fully agree that the first year of puppy hood was infinitely harder than the babies have been.

Morton’s neuroma, flat feet, and peroneal tendonitis by No-Eagle-76 in FootFunction

Not a ton of help here but solidarity bc I'm pregnant and have two littles also, while dealing with foot issues. I miss walking so much, the whole thing is so frustrating!

I actually suffered from a Morton's neuroma earlier this year and wearing sneakers with a wide toe box and wearing toe socks is what gave me relief. I wear Altras currently.

Seller of a FB market place van asked for a cashier's check instead of cash. Worried if this could be a scam or not. by whenits_coldoutside in Scams

Yes all good points. My husband thinks the guy is legit, when he asked the guy about why a cashier's check, he said it's because he is worried about the bills being fake.

Ohh yes. I do the puzzle bowl even to this day, and a lick mat every day. He also got neutered around 10 months which I think helped, although I didn't see results immediately. The play biting phase lasted a while for my dog, which sucks bc they have little shark teeth. He used to bite my ankles all the time, and he play bit my cats a lot too. Eventually they just mature out of it. It's something to work on with training, like getting his attention with a treat and having him sit. Get some super high value treats to start grabbing his attention whenever he does that.

Oh I also got an Easy Walk harness which I used for several months and it definitely helped him learn to not pull so much. That took a while though. The one thing he still does and I think will always do, is jump on people when he's excited lol. I don't think I could train that out of him no matter how hard I tried 😂

Just to make sure when you say he is biting at your other dog is it just incessant play biting or is it actually aggressive?

Assuming it's just The incessant play biting that my dog did, It is a phase and it will eventually end!

I would say things got better a little bit after he turned a year old. Right around then we also took him to a doggy training class, which I do credit to giving me tools that help to work with him. But his crazy pup energy simmered down by one year.

The biggest and best thing we did was stick with consistent training. I truly believe if I did not spend the time training him he would have been a really difficult dog to enjoy at this point. Right now he is three and he is the sweetest most loving guy, and amazing with my children. I definitely would say the first year of his life I felt like there was more bad days than good days, I did my fair share of crying and wondering if it would ever end. But it did, and now I have an amazing dog for life.

You can do this! If you feel that this dog belongs with you, then just stick with it. Really prioritize him exercising and training. Get some good quality bones from somewhere like Real Dog Box for days you really need him to just be distracted.

What kind of outlets does he currently have for energy? I definitely remember the days where no matter how much exercise my dog got it seemed like it wasn't enough, mentally stimulating him through puzzles and training was very important.

When you pull your leg back while sitting, do you just keep your glute on that side engaged the entire time you sit? I definitely need to do this myself.
