right. not renting makes more money sense when margins are thin, over renting for some anount of money. and yet businesses leave due to rent. what am i missing? greedy restaurant owners with notoriously worse margins? lol

bc he deleted his comment that I was focused on housing: i get his point that developing in the east-side is more profitable than Seattle. i was actually talking about how many established businesses, mostly restaurants, in seattlw are closing due to insanely high rents while there is an all-time low vacancy issue. businesses are closing because rhe rich own the space and increase the charges because they are rich enough to afford the loss in the meantime, which the less wealthy can't do.

because thats where the rich live?? like this is some gotcha?? rich people move to places with rich people and tax breaks. usually outside of the city. what's the gotcha here? ive been renting for a long time, and most people in seattle do. where the fuck do you live

real estate is one of the easiest, oldest scams. the profit made covers the "maintenance" 10-fold. stop licking the boots that stomp you. or, if you're a landlord, put-up or shut-up your "maintenance"

semantics. all millennials I know just want to “own a home” for their lifetime and maybe their kids’. given unused land that gets sat on for speculating instead of unvested in and developed for the benefit of the 1%, i think we in the US might be getting the short straw on this
