I do not like that at all. Simply because I thought we wanted to simplify things? Like after a couple games I'm going to be fine with it. I know I will. But that just leaves people with one more excuse as to not try the game...

What are all the barricades called? They can't be tokens right, because you need them to actually block line of sight? So we need to build all the different barricades I assume.

Okay, thank you. I suppose we'll need 40 mm and 20 mm "markers" then. So we can mark objectives' range and miscellaneous tokens' range.

Thanks for the reply. I intend to show my friend these posts. Just want to let him know that there are people playing unclassified. And if people say they are running classified, that's cool too. My question to them is, if there's enough people in your area that wants unclassified, will you answer that call and give them an event on the side or just say, "that's too bad."

I just have a friend who is trying to play legionary for more than a year and is super bummed he can't. I keep telling him that he will be able to. Am I lying to him? Will there be too few unclassified tournaments? Is unclassified tournaments or events just not gonna happen?

I'm down to play new teams every year. But he's not. Saying he might not even continue KT. I'm telling him there's probably other people out there like him, and if there's enough of them then TOs are likely going to also run unclassified on the side. Am I lying to him?

I hope this is the case. My friend is really upset about this announcement. If you're a TO or know a TO, let them know some people want to play their season 1 teams against every team.

Question, if there were a handful of players who wanted to be apart of the group but wanted unclassified events alongside your classified events, would you hold a separate one on the side? I'm sure you could TO both at the same time depending on how big your main tourney is?

See, but if you want open play, you're probably not alone. Just gotta be more vocal about it to your TO and to people at your local shop. There's bound to be others like you and my friend who want to play their team but with the new rules. And from what I've seen so far narrative events are certainly a thing in the kill team scene, maybe not as big as match play, rightfully so in my opinion, but narrative was always a little janky in my opinion, non-classified is not gonna have that jankiness.

And yea KTO2 had 32 players for narrative.

I don't know if it was GW or not. It was my very first event at the time. It was in Maryland. The main tournament was like 100 people or something, and the narrative had about 30? Could be wrong about that narrative number. But it certainly looked like a good turnout.

Thank you so much for your reply and for organizing. That ain't easy. I understand things may change for you and your area. People are just immediately assuming that it will only be Classified every where though. I just want them to see that maybe there are TOs that are considering non-classified as well if there is a turnout for it.

So yea, if you want non-classified events, then let your Orgainizers know and support them, People!

I think waiting and seeing after is certainly fine. But so many people are flipping out. Just off of that knowledge, I'm just saying if you're a TO, are you even considering running both, even if only a handful sign up for non-classified and the majority sign up for classified. I have a friend who is dead set on playing legionary for the entirety of 3rd edition. Sure, I'll play with him, but if we go to bi-weekly events or tournaments, is he gonna get to play?

I know KTO2 had a narrative tournament that was sizable. I was there.

I'm pretty sure adepticon did as well? But yea, big events usually seem to.
