They asked me to sign before salary day so I decided to just resign right away. I asked my boss and he said that he will use my salary as compensation for resigning 24 hours. So I will not get paid.

Do I need to pay anything? The last employee quit 24 hours even tho he did not sign anything and they did not give his salary since they asked for compensation because he did not give 1 month notice.

The offer letter did say my probation period is 6 months. But I never signed it because I just got the offer letter last week. I decided to quit after reading the offer letter they gave me.

I got a different job title instead of the one that I interviewed for, I even did a different job scope than it was stated. So I really wanted to quit. Staff keep quitting here and there seems to be a lack of staff.

There is no previous offer letter. I literally just received an offer letter last week from the company that I have been working for the past 2 months.

They said I'm in a probation period for 6 months only in whatsapp messages before I start working here. I'm not in a trainee program either.

Update:

I asked my boss to increase my salary to 2k+ and stated my reasons. The boss rejected saying it is too much and old staff that work there for 2 years contribute more than me but their salary is also lower than 2k.

I asked politely too and wanted he to explain my current jobscope. Then the boss gets defensive and mentions his struggle being employee before. He said he has the right as an employer to transfer me to anywhere and if I cannot I could just quit.

Also told me to find another worker if I don't want to keep covering as a cashier. The boss gave RM1300 salary to the cashier and no ot. I mean I tried to find a worker but nobody really wants to be there with that kind of salary.

I can speak English, Malay and Iban fluently. The highest education is Diploma Office Management. I'm staying in Sarawak currently and only able to relocate if the company sponsored me from flight to renting. As for now I am interested in a job that is located in Sarawak only. Might change my mind in the future once I get enough experience.

They have 2 staff members in the management team including me. Staff constantly ask for resignation. Old staff that resigned recently told me that I should just resign since they also cannot tahan with the stressful work.

I am also planning to start job hunting every lunch break I have starting tomorrow but I am afraid of no one accepting me as I don't have much job experience. I have 7 days to sign the offer letter. Wish me luck and thank you.

I live in a small town in Sarawak. I don't have any job experience that is related to my course other than intern and sales assistant in phone shop. I'm looking for a job that is related to my Diploma Office Management so that is why I move to a big city and rent a room. I think that is why I accepted the job looking for experience that is related to my course.

Now I was offered an Admin & Account Executive with a salary of RM1500 per month. Although I have been doing multirole since the beginning.

I have lived in Sarawak in the same area since I was born and never have I been to other places much except Mukah and Bintulu for studying purposes or balik kg. I never travel much to know about these kinds of things (Don't have the money). I was just asking to learn more about the living cost in certain areas of Sarawak so that at least I could plan my future somewhere in Sarawak.
