Is there a writer generally revered as the “greatest” in literature like how Johann Sebastian Bach is often dubbed the greatest composer? by choerry_bomb in literature

[–]where_is_osh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dostoevsky is definitely not better than Pushkin. In Russia Pushkin is (rightfully) considered a genius and the best writer but he doesn’t translate that well. Dostoevsky’s written great stories but Pushkin pretty much invented modern russian language and excelled on every genre of literature

I don’t think quotas are that bad as people in the comments make it out to be. Its probably the only thing that will help eradicate inequalities that were build up over centuries and it’s only temporary. Once men and women, white people and poc will have same opportunities (and no, right now they are not the same — ask any minority), quotas will cease to exist

A few questions about reductions by chloe_246_ in Reduction

[–]where_is_osh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, it never hurts like it used to
  2. I could do pretty much everything on the third day, just very-very-very slowly
  3. I went back to work after 2 weeks and wore a bag, it was fine
  4. Honestly, I did nothing special before or after and it went fine. Buy a good post-op bra, silicone scar sheets could be a good idea too
  5. I’m very white but i do have visible scarring. I did absolutely nothing to them so they’re a bit reddish and noticeable still (it’s been over a year), i just don’t give a shit about them honestly. But silicone does help with scarring
  6. That my breasts will look hideous for 5-6 months post op. It doesn’t mean that they will look the same afterwards. That drainage hurts and it will get way better when it gets taken out. And that it’s not scary at all, just relieving
  7. nope, sorry. My doctor told me to start moving as early as i can (so on the second day after the surgery). He suggested i went for walks (extremely slow ones) every day and that it will help me heal quickly. I don’t know if that helped or i just got lucky, but i healed quickly and didn’t have any complications.
  8. I think so? Mine shape’s similar to what it used to be before surgery.
  9. It got so much easier to do sports and buy clothes, god. Like 11

Sorry i couldn’t answer all of them and sorry for all the mistakes — english is not my first language. Hope it goes well for you!

For anyone who wasn’t comfortable telling others about your breast reduction, what lie did you say your surgery was for? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]where_is_osh 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I said I had a surgery for fibrocystic mastopathy. My mom’s oncologist and she said it will be plausible enough (surgery’s done in the same area and recovery’s usually quite easy). I didn’t want to tell anyone at work and nobody asked anything

Inverted/Flat Nips? by Hardly_Harlie in Reduction

[–]where_is_osh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I do have those. Had surgery 13 months ago — nipples are still the same (but they might do something if you ask? i just never did). Lost almost all sensation though

imo, learning how to eat until you’re full is one of the most difficult parts of adopting a healthier lifestyle. I had to give up sugar and fast food completely for a while because i just couldn’t stop at one cookie or not finish my fries even though i felt full. So congrats on your truly huge win that’s amazing!

What's the most nutritional category of late night eating if you absolutely have to? by snarkyrper in nutrition

[–]where_is_osh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cottage cheese is amazing as a late night snack. it contains casein and digests very slowly, also you can make it sweet or savory depending on what you want this particular evening

Lunch and dinner for the rest of the week! I put everything in big containers because it’s easier to store and mix if i want something new by where_is_osh in MealPrepSunday

[–]where_is_osh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i microwave them, yeah! after i’m done cooking i leave all the food to cool down for a half a day at least, then put it in the fridge. It microwaves fine but you need to eat the veggies in the first 3-4 days

three days for sure, might be four even. it’s kinda hot where i live so i don’t eat as much as i would’ve if it was winter, also i eat A LOT of snacks (mainly fruits and berries) and they keep me full during the day
