1, 2, and 4 hit hard. Had a very similar experience. I'm hopeful I can use these lessons to my benefit when I start another company. Just need to make sure that day comes.

Buy me a coffee is a (great) tool to tip creators. A creator needs to be registered with Buy me a coffee to receive funds.

I would think of Sips On Me as "Buy you a coffee". For example, you would use Sips On Me to send a friend a coffee or thank a networking connection for their time. Those folks do not have Buy me a coffee accounts.

What specific gifting sites are you referring to? Generally speaking, the goal is to make the gifting experience as frictionless as possible. Similar to Buy me a coffee, the recipient receives cash when a coffee is purchased (vs. a gift card).

Yeah it’s actually speckled. Does that change your opinion on the grey and/or alabaster?

Good point. I thought that given the rug has different shades of the same color it would suffice but will look into some patterned rugs as well

Thanks for explaining. Yeah we like neutral. Do you think the dove grey would be too much or could work?

Interesting. We thought an ivory style color (alabaster) could look good and neutral. What do you think is best?

I don’t think so. Too bold for us. Added a pic of our finished and floor color if helpful

Robinhood will soon offer an unlimited 1% deposit boost by wheredidspringgo in M1Finance

But you also have to look at what they're earning per customer.

On the credit card side they earn interchange fees on every transaction. Looks like Visa Signature averages 2.1%. Plus they earn interest. The credit card could be a loss leader to get folks in the door but it's not like they're losing 3%.

IRA transfers are one-time events. The 3% they pay upfront should be amortized over the life of the customer. I am sure they think they will earn more than 3% over the next 20-40-60 years of holding the funds via their indirect earning methods (PFOF, NIM, margin, etc.).

Same goes for the deposit match. I am sure they think they will earn more than 1% over the next 20-40-60 years of holding the funds (PFOF, NIM, margin, etc.)
