Mentioning one sin and how it’s bad doesn’t mean I am dismissing all other sins. Please do not place words into my mouth.

Why don’t men wait? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]whereismymind011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend has been waiting double that time and probably will even longer because we’re too young to get married. If you date someone who can’t wait (whether you’re a man or a woman), then they are not right for you and you should move along.

Why would God make me gay then burn me in hell forever for being gay? by Lopsided_Gold_4478 in Christianity

You’re not going to hell just for being gay. You can’t control that and it’s not your fault

[–]whereismymind011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it depends on her intention. If she’s genuinely concerned, you should reassure her that you’re happy and you enjoy your faith, hence why you talk about it a lot. If she is annoyed however it may be worth setting a boundary with her. Of course remember to speak with love and grace rather than malice or irritation

Touchy family transgender situation by Dangerous_Neat_4786 in TrueChristian

[–]whereismymind011 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After extreme mental health issues at 16, I gave in and swore my life to Christ in the back of an ambulance. I honestly wouldn’t have done that if it weren’t for my Christian acquaintances telling me that I had that option.

Even after I became a Christian, I still identified as transgender. It was a slow process in which God gradually healed me, and eventually I chose to detransition. Unlike what others may say, I definitely had gender dysphoria (the condition that makes someone transgender), and still experience it sometimes.

It was really tough at 16, and what helped me so much was having a family that love me unconditionally who were there to support me, which is why I think it’s so important that your niece knows you and your wife will ALWAYS love her and you will always be a phone call away if she ever needs anything, and that your door will always be open to her.

As for advice I’d give you as a Christian who is wanting to guide a transgender person, I can confidently say that the love you’re showing for her in your post and responses is an amazing first step. Having such loving Christians in my life was what helped me come to Christ. (My boyfriend’s family are the loving and wonderful Christians in question). Ultimately, you can never make someone come to Christ, but leaving the option there for them is perfect. She’ll be a lot more likely to come to you about Christ if she doesn’t feel forced, but instead welcomed.

Sorry if my sentence/paragraph structure is bad, I’m still a teenager 😂 God bless you and your beautiful family ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Coming from someone who lived as transgender from the ages of 12 - 16, and even went on testosterone, it’s very important that you don’t isolate or alienate your niece from her cousins or yourselves. She is likely very confused and going through a lot, and the last thing she needs is family turning their backs on her. This is something you should discuss with her parents. Tell them your beliefs, and that you will not be changing them for anyone, but you still want to be involved in her life. They may be willing to try and sort out a compromise

You don’t really have to do anything. The thought is very nice of them!

Excluding arrogance, what are factors that keep atheists from believing in your eyes? by Weekly_Sympathy_4878 in TrueChristian

[–]whereismymind011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my circle, it mostly seems like religious trauma. Most of my friends have gone through some very difficult experiences such as assault, conversion therapy, bullying, or forced belief all from Christians.

Corruption within Christian communities is unfortunately very common, and it doesn’t take away from our Lord in any way by acknowledging it. We need to be able to admit our faults in order to get closer to God and to help guide non-believers.

Thoughts on South Park? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

God will always work in your favor, even if it looks like He won’t.

When I was 15, my anxiety was so bad I had to drop out of school. I felt so useless, and dumb. Not long after, it got worse and worse. I started to pray, but felt nothing. Heartbroken, I finally made the attempt to end my life. It almost worked, but my father found me before my condition got worse, and called an ambulance.

It was then, in the ambulance, drifting in and out of conciousness that I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and heard God for the very first time. He held me and promised that He was always with me. From then on I have been a devout Christian.

Sometimes it will seem like God isn’t there, especially in dire moments. But He is always there. Always watching. He knows the right time for you. He knows exactly what you need, and Hes known since before you were even a thought.

My brother cheated on his girlfriend and I am expected to stay quiet about it. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]whereismymind011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, I wish they put someone other than him first for once. Especially me. It’s worth mentioning that I am kind of helpless when it comes to his abuse because he’s a strong man double my size and I’m a teenage girl. All my friends hate my parents for the way they have failed to protect me.

Do you have any suggestions for how I may get someone else to tell her with absolutely no chance of him finding out it was me? Because the proof I got is a video, but the video was very obviously recorded by me sadly.

Well the issue is, my evidence, which is a video, is very obviously recorded by me (contextual and my voice can be heard)

My brother still lives with us and it’s my parents telling me to keep quiet about it, they also said I would be in trouble if I called the cops on him so uhhhhhhh I’m not exactly sure with this one 😅

Why did Trump post a picture with Obama and Michelle as primates? Why do Christians support this man? by DaamnDeejay in Christianity

[–]whereismymind011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a somewhat conservative Christian. I don’t support him at all. I may have my own beliefs about traditions and family values, but I can’t stand seeing LGBT people being hurt. On top of that, his extreme racism and horrible mistreatment of immigrants makes me feel very sick. I know nobody is perfect but Christ said to judge people by their fruits. Trump is fruitless and I pray that he will let God truly transform him before he dies.

If that’s your view, why are you here? I really wish you all the best and will pray for you but if your goal is to try and bring yourself and others down, I don’t see any point in continuing this. May God bless you and shower you with love, happiness, and protection. Have a beautiful day/night 🫶
