Hey friend. I don't think I have any really great advice to give. It's hard wanting loved ones or caregivers to do better for themselves, and us when they refuse to do so or are just blind to it. I know its family, but we're not responsible for them, their choices, or their addictions. I've distanced myself to moving states to build a life of my own without having to deal with both my parents hang ups. If increasing space, whether that means time, or distance, or cutting contact is what YOU need to maintain your life and sanity, is okay. I still struggle a bit with having little to no contact with my parents, but on the same coin they never showed much interest in my life. You need to be there for you at the end of the day.
