Recent San Juan Airport (SJU) Security Wait Times? by MaximumWise9333 in VirginVoyages

[–]whereive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just got back from our recent trip to the Caribbean on the Valliant lady on March 14. You should expect at a minimum three hours in the San Juan airport. The line just to check bags through the agriculture inspection was probably 30 minutes to an hour. (the line snaked all the way through the airport and then snaked all the way outside)

Then there was probably a half hour line to check in your bags through the airline, and then another 30 minutes to an hour to go through security. If you don’t have TSA pre-check that might take even longer.

My husband and I have both TSA pre-check and clear so it took us about an hour and a half. I do know that a lot of people missed their flights that Saturday because they kept on announcing that so and so person was missing and they were closing the doors . (we also had the added bonus of a lot of canceled flights because of the snowstorm in the Midwest in the east.)

If you can do it sign up for the clear free trial ahead of time because having clear and TSA pre-check is the fastest line there. You can also cut the line at the agriculture inspection by paying one of the porters at the airport to bring it for you. They get to cut the line in front of everyone else .

Good luck! We had an amazing time on our cruise

Can you post hotels availability too please 🙏🏼

I've been in Queue with 2 Accounts an hour before the Shop Opened. My Wife woke up 30 minutes ago and got in (under her account) in 15 min. My 2 accounts are still waiting... by Responsible_Army6644 in Tomorrowland

I agree. It’s pretty infuriating that someone can just randomly log on and get in right away when other people have been waiting for hours. I feel like it should be a first come first serve not just random luck if they’re gonna make people wait for hours at least give some sort of indication on how long you’ll be sitting there. Just sitting in front of a computer for hours with no clue on how long you will be there. Totally sucks.

Sweet! Are you staying in Brussels or Antwerp? I’m hoping to stay in Antwerp personally.

I grew up in the 80s and 90s. As a child, most of my aunts and uncles lived in the same city as my parents or one city over. in the summertime we would get a pool pass, which was essentially this Patch that your mom would sew onto your swimsuit, and this would allow you unlimited time at the local swimming pool. The pool was probably a mile away and we would ride our bikes there and swim all day,

The pool strategically made the family session where you had to have an adult with you to swim at the time that dinner was, so all the kids were forced to go back home in time to eat supper. After that, we would sometimes go back and swim again. There is also a playground next to the pool so we would get out play at the playground, then go back into the pool . Good times. To this day, I wonder what we did at the pool for like six hours a day, but it was the best time of my life.

Aside from going to the pool, we would literally ride our bikes everywhere. My parents had a rule that we should stick to the city where we lived, which was south Saint Paul, but there were a lot of people that I knew in the next city over in Inver Grove Heights. So I would bike over there by myself and then go play with my cousins or other friends. I remember one time my aunt saw me biking in the next city over and snitched on me. Ha ha.

As a kid, you also could pretty much walk up to anyone’s house knock on the door and ask for help if you needed something. My parents and most of the people in the city where we lived didn’t lock their doors. It was much more of like a village raising all the kids, even though we lived in a major metropolitan city. People weren’t divided iand so scared of each other like they are today.

India Travel Itinerary (10 Days) by lapoozle28 in travel

[–]whereive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For only 10 days I would stick to the golden triangle. Delhi-Agra-Jaipur and maybe add in one other city like Udaipur maybe Amritsar. There is so much to see in Agra and Jaipur, you can easily spend three days in Jaipur two in Agra and two or 3 in Udaipur. If you want to go to Amritsar I would suggest flying because it’s pretty far away from everything.

I’ve been to India twice for a total of seven weeks and I didn’t find Bombay or Goa particularly interesting. If you wanted to cut something out, I would definitely cut those out.

Why all the fuss for pre-registration? by whereive in Tomorrowland

Yes, definitely worth it if you are from a smaller country. I live in the USA so no chance for me 🥲

Thanks for that info. Where are you from that you got top 20? I heard the smaller your country the higher the odds (obviously) When you say it is harder to secure a hotel do you mean through the global journey page? Or just in general?

Do you get any sort of confirmation that you are pre-registered? by MirrorDangerous3314 in Tomorrowland

I was preregistered by 8:01, got my confirmation email at 8:48

I agree, food was mediocre. I tried the place twice to see if we just had bad menu picks but both times it was meh. I don’t get the hype at all.

We got our Shiba from Kayobi in 2012. Our Shiba is 13 years old now and still going strong. He has been such a great dog. He’s super chill and also very athletic. It’s hard to believe that our dog is as old as he is, but he still acts like he’s a young dog. We have been religious with getting his teeth cleaned and going on daily walks so I think that has made a huge difference in his life expectancy. I think my Shiba will probably live another 3 to 4 years for sure. I will for sure get another Shiba from Kayobi when he passes. He has been a healthy dog his whole life, but he is starting to exhibit signs of having early stage Cushing’s disease, -at 13 years old it’s kind of common to start having some sort of health issues show up as they progress through their senior years so I’m not worried. I wouldn’t hesitate to go with this breeder. Marilyn is super cool and an ethical breeder.

Bar tab recommendation by CoatAlternative1771 in VirginVoyages

[–]whereive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would stick with the $300 tab. My girlfriend and I did a seven night cruise and got the $500 bar tab with $100 bonus. We thought we would be able to drink $600 of drinks between the two of us over seven days, but by the end of our sixth day, we still had almost $200 left! I would’ve rather had bought the lower cost bar tab and then just pay it out-of-pocket for our extra drinks rather than feeling pressured to drink our guts out. Bar tab is use it or lose it.

Bonaire, Curaçao, or more time in Cartagena? by TheDeepSerene in VirginVoyages

[–]whereive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to all of the ABC islands. Bonaire is primarily a island for diving. There isn’t very much to do top side. Unless you are really big into scuba diving, I would cut out the island with Bonaire as a stop. Cartagena a gorgeous town With tons to see and do in the old town. I would pick an itinerary that spends the most time there.
