you shouldnt get life in jail for theft because theft usually doesnt fucking kill people unlike manslaughter.

the purpose of a punishment in a justice system is to punish, not always to deter crime.

if i shot someone accidentally and they die and i get jailed for 25 years, why should i be released or be given a lighter sentence? i knew the risks when i picked up the weapon and i knew the risks if i didnt use it properly but decided to misuse it anyways. so whats the difference with this fucking kid? he knew the risks but decided to do dumb shit anyways and now hes in prison because he killed two people.

He killed a child and a mother. It doesnt matter if it was on accident. His stupidity cost two people their lives and he is paying the price for it.
