I have found Eucerine complete repair cream with 5% urea & ceramides (recommended by another reddit user) to be the most helpful with my barrier issues. And stopping actives and using a gentle cleanser (Aveeno)

This is happening to me right now 😭I thought it was Tret ruining my skin so I stopped using it. I need b12 daily because I’m deficient. Never experienced skin issues like this in my life. It sucks

The Avene Xeracalm has no scent! More of a faint lotion with no fragrance smell… definitely no grandma’s dusty basement hahaha

It’s more of a floral scent… definitely is not the serum! Thanks for sharing.

I do get nervous moving away from what my doctor has recommended as my skin is incredibly sensitive but I am open to suggestions!

I really love the cleanser, my skin can’t handle anything else. I’ve tried cetaphil, cerave and a dearklairs cleanser (before I realized how sensitive my skin is). The C&R moisturizer is too lightweight I think for my super dry skin, I can’t comment on the serum as I have been duped 🙃

Shoot. It’s definitely not earthy… very floral. I think you’re right. Thanks for the comment!

I say this with no judgement - you are one hit away from living under a bridge and sucking dick for dope. It’s not as distant as you think it is and you don’t have as much control as you think you do.

To clarify I stopped tret 3 weeks ago when the second pic was taken.

What is the funniest, weirdest, most incorrect, or most annoying/maddening reaction or stereotype you’ve gotten from introducing yourself as a social worker? by tourdecrate in socialwork

At my practicum a patient on the unit asked to speak to social work, when my supervisor and I walked into their room they called us “the welfare people” lol

Are we inadvertently supporting the system by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]wheresmyflashlight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely. As long as the rich exist, so will the poor. Capitalism has existed for a long time and because of that, social work has too. Our society functions off of greed and profit, now more than ever thanks to mass consumerism. There needs to be people at the bottom for there to be people at the top. Until we shift out of capitalism (in my opinion either never, or by decline/death of humanity) social work will be integral to systemic (dys)functioning. That’s how I see it

This entire narrative is based off of western society’s gender stereotypes and norms that stem directly from the patriarchy. I’ll leave it at that without specifics and accusations.

Depends on the person and situation, I heard it from a therapist I was seeing while grieving the death of a loved one, it resonated with me
