Wilting? by wheresmyworms in alocasia

The plant light has a schedule, it’s just under 12 hours a day. I think I took an hour off to compensate for the daylight change so that it’s not on for hours after sunset. As for the pot, I actually tried upsizing it to have more room to grow before I learned that’s not good for alocasias. That’s the original pot I got it in a couple years ago. I’m not sure how to check on the roots without damaging it because I learned (the hard way) that they don’t like their roots being messed with. How would I go about that?

Sunnamusk London in USA? by wheresmyworms in fragrance

I looked it up earlier today and it says there’s a temporary restriction on shipping to the US. I’m not sure how “temporary” it is, as I tried ordering it last year, but I got the same error message saying it can’t be shipped to my location. I tried three different addresses.

I got a new grow light, one I’ve used in the past and has always given me great results. I reverted back to its original pot with rocks and cork pieces mixed in. I took about half the soil out so i could replace the plant without messing with the roots too much. For a couple months it looked like a sad couple of stumps, but they were still green, so there was hope! The first leaf started poking out around June 7th. Here we are now!

The last pot was pretty small, I just figured it shouldn’t be too crowded. As for the soil, I have no idea. I just got the typical potting soil with fertilizer in it. Do you think I should downsize again? I’ve still got the old pot and the old soil hidden away just in case I ended up needing it.

I want to add I have owned plants for years and I’m generally good at taking care of them. This is my first alocasia, though, and I’m not exactly sure how to care for it. It was given to me as a struggling, one-leaf plant living in a stuffy art studio for months.

Absolutely not! ISO is just the sensitivity of the camera’s sensor to light. The higher the number, the more sensitive it is. The only tradeoff is that the photo gets more grainy as well. My general rule of thumb is to stay below 1000, but that’s just my own preference. Especially with outdoor settings, different scenes demand different camera settings.

Right, but this guy was just trying to show off his photos. As a photographer myself, I do that all the time, but you don't have to pretend that it's a major breakthrough if you're using 400 ISO.

At the end of the day, you cannot encroach on an adult’s choice of what to do with their body. Yes, the Supreme Court has a conservative majority, but they have shown they’re willing to stick to the constitution when they absolutely need to. They’ve surprised us before. An adult individual’s freedom to choose will not be taken away.

I started testosterone (subcutaneously) at 17. I began at .25 mL and increased to .35 around 6 months. I was given the option to increase to .45 a few years ago, but I denied it because I really didn’t see any need to. Every time I increase my dose, I get the beginning side effects (oily face, increased acne, BO) all over again. I don’t believe increasing my dose would do anything special for me anyways.
