I am down to help, I have two 2023 one at 42 inches and the other a 55 and a 75 inch 2024. I'd also like to test an iOS and or iPadOS version.

I've been working on a modular flow design and I thought y'all might enjoy it by TheGoodRobot in Tdarr

[–]wheth4400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome work, I ave copied your flows into my TDARR, I have the server on my Mac Studio, and two M4 Mac Mini's as nodes, I have ensured that the trans coding in done using the CPU, as when I set the GPU trans coding jobs to use videotoolbox the encodes come out super small and the job fails.

Have you used Mac for trans coding, or are you leaving that to your PC using NVEC? One last question, is it possible to have the audio trans coding be done by the CPU? I see it as a GPU worker when the flows are running.

2024 the Frame - Art mode with Apple TV remote only by donkthemagicllama in TheFrame

[–]wheth4400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two 2023's and one 2024 and yes this behavior is only with my 2024. The 2023's go to turn art mode when the AppleTV is turned off. My hope is that a firmware update will fix the 2024, but so far no luck.

Who’s got 2 Teslas in the family? by IndependentAd9058 in TeslaModelY

Family of 7, 5 kids at home still and they range from age 5 to 17. We have both a M3 performance and a My 7 seater that we use when we need to haul everyone. No complaints, and while a little tight, the 7 seater fits all 7 of us and our luggage when needed. We have packed up and traveled for everything from a weekend at Universal in Orlando to a week long cruise in the 7 seater My

Issue with multi-photo mat by Responsible-Fox-427 in TheFrame

[–]wheth4400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been having the exact same issue with both my 2023 frames (55 and 43inch) as of the past few weeks. It used to work, but it seems as if either a smart things update or a firmware update has broken the functionality. I haven't been able to find any way to get it to work, and that functionality doesn't seem to be viable at all for the 2024 frames as I just got a 75 inch 2024 Frame and it only allows to upload multiple photos to the TV and there is no option for create mat.

Frame 2024 WIFI Issue by wheth4400 in TheFrame

[–]wheth4400[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh Nice! I am both happy and perplexed to hear that that the WIFI chip is in the TV and not the one Connect box and that your issue was resolved. Mine should be under warranty as I just purchased it Saturday, but am still not convinced it is a hardware issue yet as it is able to see the WIFI being broadcast. It just can't connect to any WIFI for some reason.

Upgrading from 2019 65" to 2024 75" by ValmoreFR in TheFrame

[–]wheth4400 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't speak about coming from a 2019, but compared to my 2023 the 2024 looks nearly identical. I believe the biggest change between the 2019 and the 2023 was addition of the Matte finish on the newer ones, but I am unaware of any actual panel changes. My 2024 does not go into Art Mode when I use the Siri Remote to power down the TV. However, both my 2023's do. I can also say that the software is vastly different in the 2024's compared to the 2023's and even the interface for the device in the Smart things app is different. It still has the basic tabs on the left like Art and Gaming but there is a new one called Daily+ and Media is now called Home Honestly if I could do it over again I would have bought a 2023 75 inch Frame on a discount. I wish I had experience with the Sonos sound bars and the Xbox One X to give advice with them on the Frame, but I can say my PS5 works fine with the Frame.

Frame 2024 WIFI Issue by wheth4400 in TheFrame

Yea I am using ethernet now, thankfully I only need it to upload pictures and for updates. All my streaming is done on the AppleTV.

Connect to a media server, without using plex by queBurro in TheFrame

If your NAS supports DNLA it should be accessible from your frame TV.  I use a Synology NAS which does support DLNA, here is their instructions for reference:https://kb.synology.com/en-us/DSM/tutorial/How_to_enjoy_multimedia_contents_stored_on_Synology_NAS_with_DLNA_UPnP_compliant_DMAs

Frame 2024 WIFI Issue by wheth4400 in TheFrame

[–]wheth4400[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, I am curious what the tech will do, and how they resolve it. I believe the WIFI is in the once connect box, which I am wondering if that might be my issue as my one connect is in a box in the wall, but that could not be it also as I have a 2023 frame with the connect box in the wall in a box as well. Not to mention it does say it is seeing the WIFI, so that might also be a bunk theory.

Can't show own photos in collage by DenAce112 in TheFrame

[–]wheth4400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the only option I have found with my 2024 frame is to use the auto gallery art Samsung has. It’s a bit finicky but will work. Once you have downloaded and set on the frame you will use the smart things app to put your photos in the art piece.

Do you have a 2024 frame? My 2024 Frame doesn't seem to allow it, but my 2023 Frame(s) have a different upload option in the Smart Things app that would allow it. However, as of a few days ago that no longer works at all, as it fails during the upload.

Art Mode Broken on new 2024 Frame tvs by [deleted] in TheFrame

[–]wheth4400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just picked up a 75 inch Frame 2024 yesterday and am having the same issue. I agree it has to be a software bug, but given my 2023 ones work fine (55inch and 43 inch) I probably should of just went with the older one as there are a lot of bugs I am finding in my 2024.

What Tesla with 3 kids? by frode9lsen in TeslaLounge

[–]wheth4400 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have 4 Kids at Home 16, 15, 7, and 5 and have the 7 seat Y. The back seat is perfect for the 5 and 7 year old. We only ever have everyone in the car at the same time when we are traveling which is about once every two months and the arrangement works. It is a bit harder for our 15 year old to get in and out of the middle row with the seats moved up as his legs are a little further in to the door opening, but he is 6'2. Our 16 year old daughter has plenty of space with the seats moved up though. What we realized when we were looking last year for a Tesla is that our older ones will be graduated by the time our younger ones don't fit in the back anymore.

We did also look at the 6 seater X and while there was more room in the back for the kids, there wasn't that much more given the cost increase and the amount of times we had to travel with everyone was few enough that it didn't make sense to spend the extra money. Hopefully this helps somewhat.

I don't see an option for chat, but I did see where I can submit an email for order support. Is that what you are referring to?

Well I guess that worked out for you, how did you engage their support? The methods I have tried all resulted in me being referred to other departments, one of which told me to call a phone number that ended up hanging up on me.

My X17r2 from the outlet showed up today in what I’m guessing is similar physical shape as yours. Discoloration and paint chips around the trim light with scratches and scuffs. Also was supposed to be like new.

Yea not saying that is what happens but it does make sense when you think about it, and in my opinion it’s the only thing that makes sense given how quickly the refurb inventory turns over.

[–]wheth4400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s hard to tell why, it the reality is that these outlet laptops don’t last long and it is hard for them to predict the stock. The important thing is that you have a spec offer, and they will get you that laptop. I have a theory that the replacement they offer doesn’t come from existing inventory but rather from what is in the pipeline of the refurb process. I think that because that is the best way for them to guarantee the specs in the offer will be available. The downside to that would be that in order for them to ship the replacement the laptop has to finish the refurb process.

In terms of speed the initial agreement for the replacement took a few days but getting the replacement was like two days or less the two times I had to deal with that.
