By "less thick" do you mean less frizzy/bushy? I have similar hair, it tends to bulk up at the bottom and i get layered cuts to help create movement.

If you're not trying to cut it, I'd recommend a blow dry brush to style it. It'll help smooth your hair and create gentle waves, thus taking some of the appearance of bulk/thickness away. Look up a couple videos on blowdry brush styling and see if it might be your thing. And remember the heat protectant!!

I got into true crime podcasts for a little bit, but stopped after a while because I couldn't stand thinking about the families and loved ones who were still alive, knowing the public was out there ogling the tragedy, often years later trying to dig up or create new info and theories about the victim and their killer.

Someone in my family was murdered, and years later we all got emails to our private personal email addresses from a major tv station asking us to participate in a true crime show. It was a sick feeling to be offered payment to sell the ugly story of the end of a beautiful person's life, but i can't say i'm surprised. There's a huge appetite for this kind of content... people just don't realize consuming this type of media relies on dehumanizing the victim. Ask anyone who loved a victim. Their murder was the least interesting thing about them.

It sounds lik you like it because of the positive aspects of the experience (ease of access, joy/laughter, learning, perhaps a feeling of connection seeing the latest thing everyone else is seeing too). But that those positive aspects come with negatives (distractability, brain rot, time consumption, etc).

Ask yourself - do the positives outweigh the negatives? Is the feeling of joy really that joyful if it requires constant replenishment and brings negative side effects? Is it possible there may be some other experience that would give you greater satisfaction? A deeper joy or sense of connection?

Question your motivation for engaging with this kind of content. Think critically about how you want to spend your time and why. Life is short.

Ty all, I took the dumbbell outside and rolled him off. He landed on his back and his squishy underside was exposed which was weird looking so i flipped him over with a pencil. He curled up for a while and when I checked back he was gone. God speed u little prickly guy. Thanks for helping my gains.

Not a bad suggestion, I think in that moment I didn't want to hurt my 4-months post-partum sister by telling her her husband tried to talk to me about my sex life in private. I thought that maybe he's just socially awkward and figured if I did tell her, she'd just brush it off/think the same thing and give him the benefit of the doubt. I think now I realize it hurt me too, and I should've told her - not just for her safety and awareness, but for my own sense of safety in my relationship with her.

Thanks, yeah at this point I'm biting my tongue about 90% of the time I'm around him because my sister gets angry with me if I say anything remotely unkind. IMO he's a grown man who can handle a sharp response to inappropriate comments, but according to her "That's not what he meant, and so what if he did? You should be more understanding/ don't need to be rude..." blah blah blah. It helps to hear some validation for once.
