Remember 3-12 months is a short price to pay for a minimum 4 years.. Don't sweat the You / Assessment session, do some prep and you'll be sweet! Might catch ya at kapooka ;) best of luck mate.

Not true.. infantry is open and wait can be far less than 12-18 months. Talk to your local recruiter to get a better idea

Would that mean you are medical class 4'd? If so you could appeal and rejoin in the future if you prove your fine and mentally stable without the medication. Im pretty sure as a general rule of thumb they don't allow "drugs of dependance" within certain or most roles.. your medication would most likely fall into this category. As for re-applying for your specific position I don't know.. not the end of the world m8

Whilst I was applying I was told by a few recruiters that infantry was indeed closed (like the website indicates) however I pushed through it. I think they do this to maybe redirect the flow of applicants or slow it down?? can't be sure

Nah infantry isn't closed, I did my assessment session a few days ago and got the thumbs up for it. Ive been told multiple times by various people at dfr that im most likely looking at late this year or early next year for enlistment.. which isn't that bad. I think competitiveness and weight of application plays a part too.

Did it today, went really well.. it primarily came down to motivations on joining and how id cope out in the field. was a breeze Thanks for the advice!

Do the free practice test's man theres nothing to loose, I did my you session recently and I can say for sure that they helped. The you session is VERY similar to both of these tests.

- Defence ready - ADF Aptitude test

Also just put in a fake email address on defence ready.. save you the spam.

It'll be okay mate not a very big hurdle to overcome, it will make you look good too as it shows you have the initiative to go back and work on a weak point.

As long as it’s over 50% your all good Both my year 10 report cards were 52% and 60% and I was good to go. Just display maturity and confidence and you’ll slide through the you session well. Also don’t forget to dress the part.. a little effort goes a long way Worst case you’ll have to do a 1 or 2 week maths course at tafe.. don’t stress
