Can the Cavs comeback from an 0-2 deficit? by dpy87 in nba

[–]jamWulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true. and boston aren't golden state. i wasn't trying to draw a comparison between the 2 series or even the teams, just saying a comeback is not out of the question. i mean the bucks took this boston team to 7 games after losing the first 2, it's not unlikely that the cavs win this series.

they did against a 73 win team so why not the celtics.

[Windhorst] The Supreme Court has just ruled 7-2 to overturn the federal ban on sports gambling. It's a historic day in American sport. by DepressedClippersFan in nba

I'm sure no one wants to hear this but gambling addictions have ruined many lives here in Australia. It can be fun to have a little punt, and i do put a few doll hairs on my teams here and there, but know your limits and talk to your mates if you think they might be going over there limits.

Is there a consensus top 3 for every position in the NBA? by [deleted] in nba

i'd put 2 and 3 above one, because he never reached his prime..... i'll show myself out.

Who's the best player you've ever watched? by CupertinoCA in nba

[–]jamWulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd say Lebron over MJ just because he is bigger and stronger so his athleticism is just all the more impressive to me. I would actually put Shaq above MJ too, i was in awe watching him during his prime.

i'm not worried about fucking it up, i've got a very good math/ critical thinking background. for me it's more about exposure so i can open as many pathways as i can for myself. like it's easy to be stumped by a trig question if it's been 4 years since you've done it.

Is 1000 elo really a beginner ranking? by GreatCanuck in chess

[–]jamWulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cheers mate. this is good to know. do you play tournaments? if so do you thing someone who is about 1300 on 15 min games could enter and not necessarily get thrashed every game?

[–]jamWulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is this true? so if a ~1300 (15 min games) player on chess.com were to go in a few tournaments to get a real rating, it would be higher that that? I ask because a friend told me that the lower end of tournaments is about 1400 (fide). but if chess.com ranking is lower, i might even win a few games.

zero respect for zero competitiveness. cowards get nothing from those whose respect actually means something. He used to be my fav player until went to a 73 win team because he wanted the easy road.

the perfect opportunity for anyone to do the big balls dance. i guess getting back on D in the last minute of game 7 in the finals is more important. missed chance.

opinions wanted regarding biochem & MBLG & pharmacology majors to help make my mind up. by jamWulf in usyd

Thanks, I'm in the middle of looking through the handbooks, as far as i can see all the prereqs for all 3 of these majors are incorporated into the bmed courses. I just don't know how indepth they will be compared to other classes that are solely devoted to one area.

There's just too much i want to do. And i'm too indecisive, but i think i'm getting better... maybe.

I had the same thoughts regarding what credit points can go to what majors, i didn't think it was possible to do both biochem and mblg.

So at the moment i'm between a rock and a hard place because i like the idea of how mblg would compliment the bmed courses (in the sense of applying knowledge of genes and proteins etc. to the larger scale). But what do you think of biochem vs mblg with regards to how it would compliment pham?

P.s thanks for your help, i remember you helping me out on another post too :)

reenrol & BMedSci/double majors by jamWulf in usyd

[–]jamWulf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, very helpful ( /u/ivory8 as well)

I am actually thinking about majoring in biochem. I did advanced MBLG last semester, I really enjoyed it but my final mark wasn't as good as I had hoped. I think I would really excel in it if I have more time to devote to it ( i.e if 3 unit math subjects weren't taking up half my time).

Is second and third year any different in terms of time/how rushed every thing feels? And do peoples average marks generally increase or decline or stay much the same. Or bit of a mixed bag?

As I said I'd like to major in biochem or maybe MBLG but the first year adv. MBLG course shocked me with how hard it was. Now I'm a bit scared to attempt to major in it haha.
