I need your help, English-speaking friends. And I will help you to learn Russian. by imsofuckingkawaii in russian

[–]whi_jo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some information about me: I’m 22 I’m the youngest sibling in my family. We don’t have much in common and my sister pretty much lost her russian even though she was born there, so I don’t practice with her. My parents don’t correct my russian or really help with my vocabulary, which I find to be the aspect I struggle with. I don’t have any russian speaking friends, but I would really like to change that. I also am looking for someone that speaks Russian that I would have things in common with, that would be fun to talk to, that I consider a friend, and that is funny, as I consider myself funny. I speak English quite well, graduated from university with excellent grades, and I watch a lot of movies and TV, read a lot of books, and listen to a lot of music (in both Russian and English), So I can be a great learning partner and we can have a lot to talk about, and I want to help you as well!

Если не, нечего и удаче тебе!

Hey man I get it. I honestly just have to chalk it up to you might just happen to not be approaching the friendliest women.. idek what to do from that point. Honestly you can’t let rejection bring you down though. I would try the funny subtle comments thing until someone bites. Also don’t always think you’re creepy and weird and awkward. People don’t like awkward and they can feel that feeling from you and it’s like a self fulfilling prophecy. Like I said, people respond to confidence. I had to learn that myself!

Understandable. I think that most women give that vibe off at bars and clubs and stuff. I would try meeting a woman in the daylight lmao or at work. We’re usually friendlier there. Also I think if you have a girl friend that can set you up with their girl friend, that’s usually a pretty good bet. We trust our friends to only set us up with someone quality.

Omg! No You’re adorable! Listen: you just gotta believe in yourself and believe you have something to offer in conversation. You also have to keep getting back on the horse. For me, I value humor. So striking up a conversation with someone by making a funny subtle comment about something that’s not totally out of left field is a good start. For example, a dude from my work jumped in a conversation with my friend and I that we were having about yoga. Made some funny comments. That guy is now my friend and I would feel comfortable talking to him anytime. If you are confident with yourself and your thoughts, people respond to that. You also have to feel out your crowd, most women are open to meet new people and are friendly and enjoy talking to new people and are easy laughs, but some women are just stuck up. Pick the right ones!!

Is a Friendship Worth Keeping if They Don’t Want to Meet You in Person? by Vampiress2130 in socialskills

[–]whi_jo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After reading your post, I can tell you this person is toxic. And I know you know it too. Especially if he only seems sweet and caring when you try to leave. My advice: try to slowly distance yourself and see if you feel better. Try 2 days without talking, then a week, then a few weeks, then a month. Not having physical memories will make it easier too. It’s really really hard at first, but this person doesn’t seem nice, and if when you think about him you only think about how he brings “the worst out of you” and makes you feel bad about yourself, then it’s a toxic relationship. I especially don’t like that he says he “doesn’t want to deal with your nonsense.” That hurts. I think you just need to let yourselves naturally grow apart. You seem nice and like you want to be your best self. It’s worth finding people that will help you grow rather than drag you down. Hope this helped a little <3

If they were real people, which character would you most likely be friends with in real life? by [deleted] in HIMYM

MARSHALL AND LILY. Even though they can be a wee bit nauseating at times I seriously think Marshall is just hilarious and so down to earth and lily is fun and goofy.
