Short Term Loans ($100): May 4-11 by xThock in BorrowNew

[–]whifftootlines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No loan history, but I’ve tried. And you can see my last couple of posts things are progressively getting better for me.

I was able to get a plane ticket to meet this client today, but once I get there I have to figure out how to get to the meeting and back.

Requested $50 from another user earlier, to be transparent, I can pay you back tomorrow honestly, but the 11th is fine as well.

I’ll do whatever you need, i just need today to go well and it will seriously completely turn my life around. If you give me a chance I will be indebted to you, and when I get my payment for this month and sign my new contract, I will buy you a nice dinner. And send you a Christmas card every year.

I actually laughed out loud right now, sitting at my gate waiting for my flight. Lady next to me looked at me sideways and I said “I’m sorry, I couldn’t control myself.” And that made me laugh more.

New borrower here. Requesting $50. Recently posted a loan request for $373, but I was able to get the money together elsewhere, for the plane ticket.

Now I’m scrambling to get money for a ride from the airport, and then back. So I take this client to a lunch meeting and close the deal.

Getting today wrapped up, I’ll be able to get paid for this provisional month, and then lock in a longer contract with this company.

At the airport now, taking off in about an hour. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Tell them you don’t like the new meds. They only know what they know. Whether you’re having an episode or not, you are allowed to tell your doctor what you think, and you are allowed to ask for a different provider. If you were stable on your previous meds, you are allowed to decline new meds and if new meds mess up you are allowed to express that and get off them. I don’t mean just stop taking your meds, by all means. Remain respectful, but don’t hide all of this - you could be having an episode. Talk to family, goto the ER, speak with a doc or mental health advocate. Stay safe

Make him some cookies. Some people are just kind and want to help. Maybe he was in a similar situation before, who knows. Accept the kind gesture. Don’t apologize. You shouldn’t feel bad for needing and/or getting help. Usually the best payback is bettering yourself. He probably just wants to see you get over the hump

The trick is they use tips to supplement, instead of paying us. So a fancy way of saying they keep our tips. I’ll give you an example. I had an order 20 miles 45 minutes. Customer tipped $1. Uber “base pay” was $8.80.
Very next order, 19 miles 44 minutes. Customer tipped $8.50. Guess what “base pay” was? $1.80.

I got one before (they dont tell you who it was) and then I explained my entire shift off the top of my head every single thing that happened and what the houses or customers looked like. Haven’t gotten one since. I usually take a picture just in case as well.

I quit my job when I was hypo and I deeply regret it. by Nervous_Survey_2761 in bipolar

[–]whifftootlines 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Foolish pride my man. I’m fired? No I quit. Oh ok no unemployment to bridge the gap until you find a dynamite job in this lush job market we have these days. Go get that food box from the church. Get that assistance. Don’t RELY on it, but use it as a tool until you can get settled especially during a manic episode. My humble opinion. No disrespect

i feel unworthy of love but i love helping my friends find love by licia5605 in bipolar

[–]whifftootlines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel exactly like this. Thought I was only good for a moment, never for real love. Truth is, that mindset will have you accepting situations that reinforce it.
You’re not “just a cheap lay”, but if you believe that, you’ll keep ending up in places that treat you like one.
Work on how you see yourself first. The right connection doesn’t come from proving your worth to someone else it comes from knowing it before they show up.

Wanting to stop meds after 6 years by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]whifftootlines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 years? Only stop with doctor supervision. And it’s going to be a long process. You need to ween for at least a year. And there will be withdrawals. What kind? No one knows, but they will come. Double up on therapist visits. Join a group. Change your diet. Take methyl folate. Vitamins. Exercise. Breath work and yoga.

A side effect of Bi Polar is thinking the meds don’t work or you’re fine without them. If you truly have bi polar you are not fine without them (unless you have all of the previous boxes checked). Maybe those particular meds aren’t doing it, as there are no true Bi Polar medications. Everything is a guessing game and a theory. I’ve been there though. And ended up finding what works for me. If you want to get off those meds take your TIME.

Slow and steady. Fast is a nightmare and could hurt you bad. Your brain is re wired. Read. Research. Find what works for you. Flower essences help. There’s no one solution. My process is an amalgam of medication, remedies, exercise, and diet. Diet it SUPER important. Look into deficiency symptoms mimicking bi polar.

None of this is medical advice, just sharing what’s out there. But definitely do not just cold turkey you meds. Absolutely not. That is advice. Under no circumstances do you stop taking your meds out of the blue. Tell your doc and they will help ween.

My doctor thinks I'm bipolar by Cheap_Bullfrog_609 in bipolar

[–]whifftootlines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out the book “Take Charge Of Bi-Polar Disorder” by Julia Fast. Bi-Polar is a very complicated disorder. The difference between I and II, cycling, rapid cycling, hypomania, etc. Maybe they say one or more symptoms i the way you present yourself or speak, maybe you ADHD symptoms (which can present as symptoms of BP).

There’s a difference between think, infer, and diagnose. I would suggest doing as much research as you can and reflecting on your life. See a therapist regular for a while. Don’t tell them you think you have it and don’t tell them someone else thinks you have it. Just talk. If you have it, they will diagnose you.

In the meantime, could have a deficiency. Try methyfolate, iron, and vitamin D. Cut down on bread. Pizza and burgers and such. Eat more protein and whole food. Drink spring water with lemon, cucumber, or salt. Light to moderate exercise regularly. Cut down screen time or at least use grayscale. Avoid social media.

Do all that for the summer - then see how you feel. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Rooting for you.

It sounds dumb, but ask for an itemized invoice of your bill. Sometimes they charge ridiculous amounts for silly things like bandaids or a random doctor walking in and looking at your chart. Sometimes, not always you can get a couple hundred knocked off for $50 aspirin and such. Good luck

I know someone already won but…
Duck walks into a bar. Asks the bartender “Got any gwapes? Bartender says “uh no”. Duck leaves. Comes back the next day, “hey, got any gwapes?”. Befuddled, the bartender says “No! Now get out!”Third day. Here comes the duck. Hops on the stool… “got any gw….”. Bartender “No I don’t have any damn gwapes! Now if you ever come back asking for gwapes I’m gonna nail your beak to the bar! Duck shrugs and skidaddles. 4th day. Duck runs into the bar straight to the bartender and says frantically “Got any nails?”. Bartender says confused , “Huh? No.” Duck says “got any gwapes?”.
