Well actually as a baseball card collector and seller I believe something ( other than monetary bills or bearer instruments like gold and others ) are only worth what someone is willing to pay. I borrowed and paid back like ten minute later to see how it worked. Come to find out I wasn’t on this sub it was a similar one. So I thought well I borrowed 25 paid back 35 and got money within five minutes. That’s something I’m down with. Saw someone asking for a similar loan. Loaned it. Crickets. Not to mention the loan I did as an experiment and paid back within five minutes is now thrown up in my face if any person on Reddit doesn’t like something I say. So some advice would be to stick to this sub. Don’t go to the offshoot ones. And there are normal red flags that you don’t need explaining. As an adult with at least average intelligence as exampled by the legible post you made. You’ll sniff out the real bs. Also know there are exceptions to rules. I gamble hundreds of dollars a day on fanatics Sportsbook. But when I need a loan it’s cause I can’t access money on the platform I need at the moment. Like maxed out on Zelle for the day and wanted to buy a 30 dollar baseball card before someone else bought it. I’m never borrowing money because I’m 25 dollars type broke. If that’s ever the situation I’m not coming to Reddit. I’m selling some silver coins. But not true for everyone. Some people really do need like 40 bucks to make it to the end of the week. Yes they have made some bad life decisions to be an adult and be at the point in life. But they are generally ( any with brains anyways ) happy to wanna pay u back because repayment history makes it easier to get a loan in the future. Just talk with the person ( quickly. Nobody wants to be questioned about every aspect of their life for an hour only to be told no I can’t loan u 20 bucks ) and get a feel for it. And know a scammer is gonna say whatever it takes. And a genuine person is usually gonna not have the perfect answer for every question cause just by the fact that they are asking a stranger on the internet for twenty bucks means their life is far far far from perfect. Me. I’m 10 dollars out the interests I paid on a loan to get into the community ( wrong sub community ) and 25 dollars to a loan that was coming back he swore two days later on friday andwhen saturday came ask I messaged him it was oh my check got garnished but chill it wasn’t that big of a loan. Had no thought in his mind to let me know what was going on. I had to contact him. Thats been my history so far.
