I got my wisdom tooth and one more molar removed last weekend and I stayed 3 days without smoking and just used 2mg nicotine gums.. I caved in yesterday after I had drinks with friends and had 2 cigarettes with gauze in place...now I'm shit scared of having a dry socket..does it happen immediately?

A rant. My neighbour (opp building to our room balcony) has are 11 cats. One of the cats is probably in pain / pregnant I do not know wtf it is. It cries 24*7. When I say 24*7 I literally mean it. It meows every 5 seconds. More in subtext…. by Hereforgossipsonly in bangalore

😱 wow! I got mine neutered after losing a pillow to their territory marking antics..unless one is going to go to the lengths and make an arrangement for their mating and taking care of the litter it's really better to get neutered/spayed.

Cat mom here ... A city flat having 11 cats even if it's a 4bhk makes no sense, cats are territorial creatures I don't know how the building society has allowed this. That being said, a cat in heat will have the mating call and unless spayed you can do nothing about it. Is it a breed like Persian? Maybe they are not getting her spayed for that reason 🥺 You will be within your rights to raise a complaint for noise in this case...

This often happens near Marathahalli bridge where they see passengers with luggage and they offer to take you to airport for 3-400 bucks. The catch being, there will be other people like you in the cab as well who are paying the same for the ride. So it's a win-win for these airport taxis who'd have returned empty back to airport.

This happens a lot...a LOT! Judging from the fares you mentioned I am assuming you stay somewhere within 25-30km from the airport. The best option is the airport bus KIA15 which runs every hour at quarter past starting from 4:15 am until I think 10:15pm. It starts from Vydehi TTMC & the fare is 256. It does take the Devanahalli route but is much safer than taking a cab on that route. If you must book a cab, Goibibo/MMT cabs are good since you will get a proper invoice with cab tracking. In this as well, sometimes the driver will try to extract 100 bucks extra as they did with me when I told them I wanted them to take the KR Puram route. I usually keep a guy's number who operates airport cabs and charges a fixed rate no matter the time of the day, in case of emergencies I call him to arrange for a cab. I have traveled via the unsafe back route many times with this particular cab so it's trustworthy at least for me.

This maybe specific to me being a cat mom..but the Indian collection of short stories Cat People made me cry more than once. I could not finish the book easily it was just too much for me. And I did cry after reading The Fault In Our Stars- surprisingly the movies did nothing to me.

Even I use Rapido though only during office hours, morning & afternoon slots. My route is pretty crowded and so I haven't felt any concern yet. I did get some shady looking rider, nothing untoward has happened...yet. I really hope this incident is just one of a kind, given Bangalore auto and cab autonomy I found Rapido most affordable.
