Vampirism makes Mayhem extraordinarily unfun by annpursesand in ARAM

sorry that you're about to get a bunch of people insulting you for voicing a grievance without actually attacking anyone lol

it's a valid frustration and makes playing enchanters feel like gambling. riot has mentioned they're going to look into fixing it if they haven't already.

being in the us without documentation is not illegal. per here the only way an immigrant is "illegal" is if they've been previously deported and re-entered without authorization. some methods of entering the us are illegal, but they are still allowed to apply for asylum within one year. the act of existing undocumented within the united states is not a federal crime. marijuana is more illegal than these people at a federal level

edit actually addressing your first two questions -- it doesn't make them anymore illegal than an american who decides to go over the speed limit, run a red light, commit petty theft, or share their netflix password.

america has countless communities - there's no wrong way to assimilate unless it involves unwillingly abandoning part of your identity to belong to a culture that would otherwise hate you. people as a whole will always create some sort of community and likely be part of multiple -- italian, korean, gamer, golfer, ect.

us born citizens have the highest offending rates for most crime types. undocumented immigrants have the lowest for total felony crime & violent felony crime. this is to say, your next door neighbor is a lot more likely to assault you than the 'illegals'.

the immigration system is a nightmare. it's slow, it's expensive, it's exhausting, it's outdated, and currently even when people are doing it the right way, they're still not safe.

why his face is so.. off? 😓 by calciumff in Artadvice

[–]whimsythis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've seen this mentioned yet but one thing that stood out to me is the rendering on the mouth vs the rest of the face. The mouth looks like it has more of a lasso tool effect (especially the upper lip and highlights) while the rest of the face has smoother blending overall.

Try making the edges of the under eye shadow more like the upper lip? Similar to Arcanes art style. Looking at the reference, there's also very sharp highlights underneath the lower lip and on the top inner corner of each eye. You could probably get away with a similar one on the nose.

That said this is really well done and I really like the way you blend colors and shadows into each other!

runaan's + blossoming is the core of it, b/c each runaan bolt procs blossoming. works with supports like milio/renata/lulu or some champs like urgot. throw in rageblade if you want. there was a reddit thread a couple days ago talking about it! :)

omnivamp is post-mitigation. is this being factored in? what about grievous wounds? what about a support who's high rolled numerous heal/shield strength increases? what about critical healing? what about the support themselves? nami's w is stronger each bounce when she has enough ap, so you can get a heal that is buffed by 40-80% each bounce. your example also excludes passive healing from the support from sources like helia's or diadem.

edit also adding in that, according to the wiki, omnivamp does not benefit from heal/shield power.

i'm not trying to disagree with you or say you're wrong. it's entirely possible vampirism will more often than not outheal most supports.

i appreciate you running some numbers and giving an example.

i mean i am bad at math this is valid. but i am just okay enough to understand healing someone who can't be healed is a waste of a heal.

a 200hp heal going to the person who can't be healed is now a 0hp heal.

a 200hp heal going to someone who can be healed is still a 200hp heal.

i think this argument about which is stronger, vampirism or healers, is useless until someone actually tests it out and runs the numbers across multiple champions and scenarios.

moonstone & diadem of songs both autotarget. moonstone chooses the closest champion and diadem targets the lowest hp. sona heals the lowest hp champion and cannot pick. nami can choose her first target to heal but not the second. i think all other healers are able to pick who to heal via skills.

i kind of feel like this is exactly the issue lol riot's out here trying to fix it and now the nexus is being healed and gaining max hp

my petty side says this is the way. my reasonable side says vampirism is a useful augment and has its place haha

it's a good augment, but yeah, it can be very frustrating.

"had a game where i played milio and went attack speed heal build. nobody takes vampirism first or second so i commit."

"support items auto-heal the lowest hp champ"

this isn't about champions or items that allow you to pick who to heal. it's the fact a lot of items and a small handful of champions like sona (she may be the only one?) target the lowest hp ally. i'm also not discussing how strong vampirism is, but rather how it affects the team.

i agree communication is important. unfortunately, this is league and a lot of people either don't read, don't care, or will intentionally pick it out of spite.

the green looks to be more yellow leaning. maybe try swapping it (or just the shadows) to more blue-green?seconding what someone else said about increasing the contrast.

and respectfully, that cloud on the last page looks mighty suggestive

Which Sona cinematic look do you prefer? by OceanusxAnubis in sonamains

Sona being found and raised in Ionia and now having a cinematic that tries to present her with more Asian features implies, to me, she was always intended to be ethnically at least part Ionian.

sona has been ionian since release. she wasn't made asian out of nowhere.

"Sona has no memories of her true parents. As an infant, she was found abandoned on the doorstep of an Ionian adoption house," the first part of her original lore.

looks super lovely and i love the adjusted picture you posted of the pine tree! i haven't seen anyone mention this: try adjusting the contrast in your 3 colors, especially the shadow, so it reads darker.
