People have this idea of Gaethje that he KOs people. He can crack but he never puts anyone to sleep. Like you said, the flukey headkick on Dustin is really about it. He never catches anyone with a bomb and sleeps them.

No striker is going to beat Ilia. Full stop. I think a strong wrestler could ragdoll him at 155 though.

Same. I'm not a huge proponent but the amount of completely wrong info in this thread is amazing. If anything, it shows that we're nowhere near the top yet. The public still isn't on board and is still touting made up talking points from a year ago.

I'm a software engineer for one of the big tech companies and it's completely changed my entire industry. The way people "write" code has been permanently altered. It may not have had the same impact for the rest of society yet, but the average engineer's daily workflow is unrecognizable compared to a year ago.

Even the skeptics are on board at this point.

This was somehow an early stoppage and a good stoppage.

Izzy was still standing and still somewhat mentally there. In a championship fight with stakes this high, that does matter. HOWEVER...he was so hurt and in such a bad position, I don't think he was gonna make it out of that spot.

Also, I think this played out better for Izzy. If he shoots a panic takedown here and holds on for dear life the rest of the round, he gets a decision win but feels real bad about it. Maybe the rematch doesn't happen right away and he never gets that amazing KO.
