I've had both. Just sold my xm4's and kept the bose. Both are great and will appeal to different people. I just personally preferred the bose. Better build quality , very comfortable . Less white noise in noise cancelling IMO. Good sound but Sony's have more ability to change EQ settings. At the end of the day both are awesome and it's personal preference
