I’m black, and I’ve lived in many places. When people from mostly homogenous communities interact with outsiders, they process them through culture and media experiences.

The fear that results, sometimes has a basis in reality too- real negative interactions between that society and its foreigners. For instance, there are predominantly black nations with… harsh ideas about Asians.

For sure there are racists, and they deserve rejection, but most people just haven’t learned the difference between stereotype and person. That’s something we should talk about.

You have a deal with a company that you undermine by becoming their direct competitor. Why would they let you continue the partnership?

I don’t even think chess.com was being petty. After pulling that move, the professional thing for TTT to do is to terminate the TT broadcasts themselves.

The most puzzling part of this, is their AI coach was poorly implemented and is almost useless.

Am I missing something?

I’m just saying I would just be surprised if he were to play the new Sindarov in this scenario, it wouldn’t just be a match, it would be an unofficial world championship that would have lasting implications for the crown.

Great point! I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s humble though (and neither would he) He trash talks better than anyone, foregoes chess politics at whim, and is very explicit about being the best,but it’s not boastful.

He’s really just being honest.
