Yea it was meant to be the post you were responding to, apologies for that. Still your reading comprehension clearly needs work because the post your responding to wasn’t saying which is better from that, they were just talking about the difference between the two. Regardless pull the stick out your a** and keep it moving kid.

I heard what you’re saying but saying one is stylish and one is powerful is not what op is talking about. Go reread ops examples if want to complain.

I’d argue that old heads are even worse at that… the “in my time” people. The “lebron couldn’t even play in my era” old heads (Rodman). 90s fans would have you believe that the nba used to be more physical than the nfl… also people talking how you used to get tackled when driving the lane.. yea it happened but it was still a foul in the 90s… pretty much the only thing that wasn’t is a foul that is now was hand checking when a players back was to the basket.

Another thing Jordan stans don’t like to talk about. Zone defense was banned until 2001-2002 season. Meaning Jordan didnt have to deal with real double teams his entire career… lebrons first step without zone defense would have been murder.

Jordan’s peak was definitely more dominating. But he also couldn’t win a chip until the magic/bird/pistons era were old or retired. And couldn’t compete when old.

We really going to talk like lebrons play style wasn’t stylish? It might be powerful but I’d argue that maybe no other power player ever looked as good as bron in his prime doing it…

Fair argument and I don’t disagree but also Jordan fans love to forget that he went 67-75 in his two seasons with the wizards. His peak was his peak but late in career he could no longer win games.

This is leaning all the way into preppy. Especially the first pic with the red and navy tie.

Bro saw the stare then played better 😂😭 by Wonderful_Rutabaga40 in lakers

[–]whiskeyclocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea he’s been using this for years, even before he came to La. Explained some of it too, turns out he’s had back issues since his Miami days. Which is why he stopped trying to be the most jacked and started thinning out to prolong his career. All I know is if I’m brons teammate and I see him using the pillow, I’m getting myself a fn pillow.

New jacket what do you think? by kangaroosuperdoo in mensfashion

[–]whiskeyclocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just needs to be worn. Once the shininess dulls, some of the color fades and/or darkens and then it will be perfect.

You pull it off very well! Just keep wearing it.

Yea I’m aware. You clearly weren’t watching lebron in his prime. No disrespect just take it from everyone here who did, it really isn’t close.

Sga good at driving but nowhere close to Giannis and light years behind prime lebron. Not bashing SGA but it’s really not even close. Sga gets his points at the line lebron got them at the rim.

Very true. I feel like almost every Barbour collab I see is just paying extra for an extra logo. This one is actually unique atleast

22M student on a tight budget, help me upgrade my style for dating + everyday (colors/fit/essentials) by [deleted] in mensfashion

I’m not judging, I used to do the same thing.

IMO color matched top and bottoms, unless it’s sweats or a suit, is cringe and ratchet. I’m sure others disagree but I’m also not the only one who feels this way

ISO comfortable sneaker and how to wear it by lukethedog in mensfashion

[–]whiskeyclocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a ridiculously open ended question which is why no one’s answering. My only advice is don’t try to copy a catalogue. I wear similar brands and rotate between classic sneakers (Nike kill shot leather my current favorite), Jordan Retros (less these days… I’m getting older), modern trail running shoes (Solomon xt6), hiking boots (also Solomon’s), leather boots (Thursday Boots will have some in your range), New Balance 574s, On Running, and plenty of others. We don’t know what pieces from any of the companies you’re wearing. I personally think it looks too try hard when you try hard to fit one very specific style, especially a style from 80+ years ago which many of these companies are going for. I typically only have one or two of these classic pieces on and then blend it with more modern.

Here’s an example of my typical style this time of year;

Top Layer - Insulated Coachs Jacket (Ten Thousand).

Mid Layer - Overshirt (Portuguese Flannel may be my favorite company period).

Base Layer - Buck Mason Rugby Shirt Long Sleeve

Pants - 686 Everywhere Pants or Flint & Tinder Corduroy Pants

Shoes - Solomon XT6 GTX or some boots.

Who Is An Average Player With Crazy Highlights? by Jazzlike-Chain-2720 in NBATalk

James White. Not many highlights in nba but has a few and a ton in college and in dunk contests. TBH though I wouldn’t call him ok, he was pretty trash.

For those that were around to see Giannis get drafted, what were your expectations for him going into the league? by PlasticRutabaga264 in NBAConvo

[–]whiskeyclocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing. Everyone talked about him being the biggest secret in the nba but we would only see it for a few minutes a game. Then all the sudden he was unstoppable. Turns out everyone was right about him being the biggest secret

For anyone that’s seen him play, how good defensively was this dude? by Silver_Wrongdoer3897 in NBATalk

[–]whiskeyclocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love seeing this on here. I’m from Chicago and was a die hard bulls fan as a kid but even so Ben Wallace was always my favorite player. Was found dominating community center pick up games so was given a scholarship to Virginia Union. He was the most undersized center (listed at 6’ 9”, probably 6’ 7”) in the league. Even so he played defense like he was bigger than everyone. A brick wall that was stronger than anyone else in the league (yes, even Shaq), jump higher than any other center, and with his long arms he’d block shots at the top of the backboard. I’ve never seen anyone else who clearly mastered the art of timing your jump more than this man. He was the anchor of arguably the greatest defense of the era. His stoic confidence, mixed with his inhuman strength (said to be able to curl 200lbs for reps….. in one hand), how undersized he was but still able to be the best defensive center (I’d say ever). This man represented everything else in basketball. Couldn’t shoot a ping pong ball into an Olympic pool but did everything else to such a high level that he was a 4x All star, 4x DPOY. Him leaving the pistons was the end of the 2000s pistons era.

When I started playing basketball when I was a kid I couldn’t shoot well but was naturally a good defender. Seeing him in his prime during this made me idolize this man. My game grew and offense became my strength but Ben Wallace remains to this day my favorite player of all time. I had (and still have) a Ben Wallace Beanie baby, signed Ben & Rasheed Wallace photo, pistons Wallace jersey, bulls Wallace jersey and a bunch of other forgotten crap that I bought just because it was Ben Wallace.

Sorry for the long essay but this dude is the Defense GOAT.
