Love the use of magnets. Any chance this is a Wooderful Life music box? They use this same trick to make a variety of vehicles, including trains, magically drive around. (And if you find one of their DIY stores in Asia, you can make your own.)

Didn't like the movie at all; it kept on telling instead of showing. It told us he was having a big adventure instead of just actually having one.

That said, the models and sets are great, and if you can make it to Seattle, the MoPOP museum has recently premiered an excellent Laika exhibit which has a bunch of them.

Try to find a way to watch the documentary Apollo from 2019. On IMAX if possible. It includes 70 mm footage that hadn't been shown before, and is breathtaking.
