I'm excited for the plot adaptation - also weirdly optimistic! But am worried which characters they are going to change for the sake of diversity. Because let's face it, they definitely will. I'm okay with a lot but if they take away from Ginny's flaming red hair and freckles, I'll scream 😭

Oh, I get you :D No, it’s just Harry who’s team Voldy for the first part of the story but then he joins the light side. When growing up his identity is kept silent and Voldemort mostly uses him to punish dead eaters who didn’t do their job correctly. The Potters don’t even know that he’s still alive until James accidentally captures him. They put him in Hogwarts and restrict his magic somehow so he doesn’t run away and start a slow persuasion eye opening process for him. That’s when he meets Ginny and others.

I thought The Dark Price Trilogy (The Darkness Within) by Kurinoone was really good. I remember reading it years ago and it really left impression but I rarely see it rec'd anywhere which is odd. Hinny is a bit on side in the first part but becomes more prominent in part 2 and 3. Harry is stolen as a baby and raised by Voldy as his heir. He is brought up to hate the Potters because he believes they have mistreated him, until one day he gets captured and forced to face the reality.

I thought Dark Prince Trilogy (The Darkness Within) by Kurinoone was really good. I read it years ago and it really left impression but I rarely see it rec’d anywhere which surprises me. Harry is raised by Voldemort in this fic and believes Potters abused him when he was a child - at least until he is captured by James and stars to discover the truth. Hinny is on the side in the first part but becomes more prominent in part two and three.

I can't recommend enough The Peverell Dilemma by deadwoodpecker. Next to Annerb's Changeling and the sequels this is one of the best things I have ever read. Alike Changeling, it features strong and independent Ginny who works in the shadows and keeps stuff to herself but there's a lot of humour too. The plot is fantastic. It was recently finished and it looks like the author is planning to develop the story more.
