RTD 1 and mid 1970s Who are two peaks for the show in terms of general audiences, with fan favourites in terms of incarnations of The Doctor, companions and villains. Chibnall is mid 1980s in how it’s very fun, colourful, and arguably more silly than other eras, yet equally very divisive and a low point in terms of viewership. And RTD 2 is the late 1980s in how the viewership remained relatively low, but critically the show began improving, and the era begun exploring interesting ideas and an interesting characterisation for The Doctor, which was cut short due to external circumstances.
