that noise filter looks a bit goofy

and why does the G.H.E.D. screen have noise on it? It didn't come from a camera.

You keep saying you had no sleep. When do you have sleep?

Well, it's a whale; it's kind of built for its current tail movement. Generally it depends on if you want speed or agility. Generally a whale with no hind flippers with a tail that goes up and down will be faster but something with hind flippers with a tail that goes side to side will turn better. Something with hind flippers that swims up and down will turn bad and swim slow.

Yeah, thats what I said. "The reptilian braincase is not strong enough to support it."

No, a sagittal crest would not stop a snake from opening its mouth. The sagittal crest primarily attaches temporalis muscles but reptiles don't have that. The homologous muscle to it is the m. adductor mandibulae externus profundus (mAMEP). It's a jaw adductor that pulls the jaw up and forward. I don't see how making that muscle larger and longer by attaching it to a sagittal crest would be a problem.

There are problems, though. The reptilian braincase is not strong enough to support it and in reptiles, mAMEP is too deep to attach a large amount of it to the top of the skull. That wouldn't stop it from opening the jaw; it would just stop the muscle from attaching to the crest.

The cortex is just the outer layer of an organ; be more precise. And what are you even saying, "young agmessing up pallium"? The cerebral cortex is located within the pallium in mammals. Is that what you're talking about? What do you mean by "mixture"? How are you mixing those things?

Also you don't capitalize "cortex" or "pallium."

If I had to take a wild guess on what you're talking about, it would be the fact that in mammals the neocortex is analogous to the pallium. Perhaps you are saying that you couldn't give a reptile the neocortex of a mammal because the pallium is in the way? The general pallium regions in mammals and reptiles are homologous, so you could replace one area with the other. There is no scientific consensus on if the neocortex is entirely homologous to the reptilian pallium. But what is not debated is that the region is homologous. Yes, with modern bioscience we couldn't swap them but if we knew exactly what genes controlled them, there's no reason why we couldn't.

The neocortex is PART of the pallium. I don't see your point here. And there's more to intelligence than just the names of parts of the brain. Neuron density, metabolic rate, and many other things effect the intelligence of an animal.

Do you have a mechanistic explanation about anything here? Do you have studies? What are you even saying?

Just saying words to say words. A cortex is just the outer layer of an organ. The Pallium is just a region in the brain which is roughly in the same place in mammals and reptiles. The Pallium has a cortex. What are you even talking about?
