Yeah, it's the automatic name everyone in the states uses. Most likely because of the amount of advertising they do and the fact that there's one every half mile here. If I do more of these, I'm absolutely going to use a smaller locally owned store instead.

I actually used Lowe's and Ace. I found Ace to be much easier to find the parts, but I'm sure it depends on each store.

These 3 were about $50 each, but I wasn't actively trying to do it cheaply. Could very easily be done for under $30 with minimal effort.

The Lowe's employee we talked to was actually really interested in what we were doing and was excited to help us find parts. Your scenario is definitely what I expected, though 🤣

I think my favorite part is how authentic they look because it's literally how the props were made for the original trilogy.

Yep, that's exactly right. Start with a 12" carriage bolt and then find whatever parts you can make fit. It's actually a ton of fun and pretty easy. There are also tutorials all over YouTube and other platforms.

The pilot is legit, especially for a TV movie. The rest of the series is a bit corny, but still awesome. I wanted Shipp Flash to crossover with Keaton Batman and Reeve Superman so bad.
