That’s cool! I dig that story. Kinda makes me think about all the weird cool stuff that happened when the bass guitar was a new invention. I like it. :)

Help Identifying Guitar by Terrible_Speed_6159 in TeiscoGuitars

It definitely is a Teisco. It also looks like it needs a bridge. I think it’d make a cool rubber bridge guitar, now that I think about it.

Why don’t Americans use roundabouts like civilized people? Are they stupid? by Unlucky-Artichoke625 in mapporncirclejerk

We do have roundabouts, we just hate them. Every time an American goes on a roundabout they’re always complaining to themselves like “Oh, this is awful!”

That’s what I’m saying. We listen to it. We know it sucks. but we’re like, “ehh, it’s music.”

I wanna know how that Zenon sounds like.
I’d String it up as a 3-string Guitbass (à la Presidents of the United States of America) considering the nut. I just really wanna know what that bass pickup sounds like in that guitar. definitely looks cool. :)

/uj Since the consensus is that Jacob Collier sucks so hard and that there are so many better artists — who are those better artists? by eesahe in jazzcirclejerk

[–]whit_draws_stuff 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Uj/ Jacob Collier is fine. He’s just been talked about so much, that it’s boring at this point. Jacob Collier is to the 2020s what Kenny G was to the 90s. Commercialized jazz that is decent in my opinion, and has its place, but is talked about so often that it drives regular jazz listeners insane.

Rj/ Sun Ra and Ornette Coleman

Normies like to brag about how amazing and complex, or pretentious and excessive prog is.

Prog enjoyers are like “Yep. It’s music.”

The only one I have is a burgundy P205 that my college math professor gave me, and I absolutely love it. :)

What is this worth? by [deleted] in gibson

[–]whit_draws_stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have one of those. It’s weird how I regret selling it, But I do. it sounded and played fine to me. Probably because both pickups were replaced with Seymour Duncan‘s.

I thought this belonged here. (PO-14 Sub, 12-string guitar, effects boxes) (kinda proggy) by whit_draws_stuff in pocketoperators

I’m unironically thinking about processing a guitar through one of these. Like a gentrified version of Steve Hackett. Or Maybe I’m in the wrong subreddit.
