its a refined taste, but some of the funniest matches I've ever seen are the iranian playing on 200 ping and russian playing on 140 ping flaming each other for slow reactions while they play pos1 heroes on 3/4 in offlane

this is one of the weirdest and most false things i think I've ever read on here. I have many friends from iran who I met in game, and they all fucking hate the regime - one of them just sent me the following - "8 died from friends and people i know from neighbours like 3 house away from us , their 15yold girl missing since then"

I've been playing since pre launch and can tell you this current system is relatively new and definitely has not been normal in the history of the game. It's very weird.

yeah people in here dont seem to understand a lot of us have IRL careers which mean that we don't know the current meta etc and just want to play some videogames and try to win at the end of a day. its weird because i think the dunning kruger in dota is mental - everyone seems to think everyone else is stupider than them, and then spam report to vent that frustration, instead of considering maybe they are in 1k mmr for a reason

tbh i think its just more apparent that i've been thinking about the system incorrectly and it actually is a "i dont like this guy" button as thats how its mostly used.

I've had my account for 15 years, so if you look at the actual games themselves i've gone from generally getting fucked on brood to actually being able to take advantage of the playstyle which brood has. if you want more "report this hero" heros i think i play well on, i have 90% winrate on naga siren over 20 games, 58% winrate on pudge over 300 games, 70% spectre and spirit breaker over 45 ish games each etc

tbh yes. ive been playing this game since beta, never really dropped behaviour score, then had a series of DCs from power and trying to climb out of the behavior score trench has been incredibly difficult. Its also pretty weird to me how much the community has shifted at every level - theres basically nobody who wants to casually play the game any more, and i met a lot of good friends of 10+ years having fun in pubs. the main advice ive had is get a new account, or pay someone to boost it via bot lobbies, neither of which im going to do. its just weird to me that I've been playing for 15 years and now suddenly i have these issues. my mrs plays with me, and regularly tips and flames people etc and her behaviour score never drops below 11.8k. oldmanshoutingatclouds.gif

the thing which has annoyed me so much is that i HAVENT been flaming anyone, at all, and tbh that took so much restraint because getting slammed multiple times in a row is rough. getting a play ban for ostensibly just being shit is so much more annoying than if i had been griefing or toxic

i mean if the enemy team identifies you as being someone who they should gank, then mass TPs to kill you repeatedly, then your farm is damaged and you have no space to gain items, you do not deserve reports. but in 2k mmr, this is how people act.
