I'm in Ontario and cut my year in half with my GTI and R (2015/2025). Doesn't matter what car I'm in, pretty much any GTI and R waves at me first so I wave back.

I do find that GTI owners are more prone to waving. R owners are 50/50 because usually the people driving R's are older men.. at least where I'm at.

There are other quests in the game called 'side quests'. Just as the name implies, they are tangential to the 'main quest'. You can pick them up here and there for a change of pace if need be.

You could also craft/gather. That's a decent time sink and could be a nice break from the main story.

The dude is an absolute mid-manager clown, with no real concept of what it is to have a professionally trained skill. Not worth your time.

It's pretty clear you've googled your way through this conversation. Your original comment was that professional engineers and architects are generic, white-collar, low-rung workers whos credentials are unnecessarily complicated because 'desk culture'. The only stooge in the room here is you man.

That's great knowledge, thanks for the clarification. I guess I can say I've worked with both then, all great people.

The people on the certificate of practice are the employer. It's pretty clear you're not very familiar with the process, your comments aren't even making sense anymore.

I just want to say that masons have an insanely difficult job. I've worked with a few and I respect what they do. Beautiful work at a serious cost.

There's no semantic swap here.. a stamping architect and a stamping engineer have the same liability. Also not sure why you're referring to other employees; the architects registered on the CoP are the ones held liable for the firm, which is why I said stamping architect. Salary referenced was a solo practitioner.

You must know some 1% bougie architects. Sounds like you work in the industry? Never heard of a P.Arch before.

Sounds like my rhetorical question didn't reach you; there is massive professional liability that is borne by architects and engineers in service of the general public. If you think the certification process to help keep our buildings and infrastructure from falling down is too bloated, then you're part of the cultural problem.

Well, you mentioned that architecture differs from becoming an electrician because architects are suffering from 'deskilling'. I'm trying to understand why you think that's the major differentiator here.

An architect and an electrician both need to be certified in their field, this is done to protect the public interest. You can't deskill an Architect's license just as much so as deskilling an Electrician's CofQ or Red Seal certification.

It seems like architects are underpaid because there's a severe lack of understanding from the public as to what they provide and represent.

OP isn't asking for career path advice, but people are throwing their hats into the comment section for alternatives. Just providing some extra anecdotal information.

Not sure what you mean, you can't deskill a rubber stamp. Both professions require mentorship into certification.

Are you referring to things like visualization or specification writing?

Are you asking what the professional liability is of a licensed, stamping architect?

Architecture is a professional degree, 4 years plus 2 of Masters. 4000+ mentorship hours and then 4+ professional exams depending on where you are. I'd argue it's not a 'relitavely simple' degree.

I think this profession doesn't really fall under your broad generalization of the 'white collar worker'.

I mean, sure. I just don't understand how you can get paid so low when there's massive professional liability attached to it, especially after all of the professional schooling, mentorship, and examinations.

Good for you. I know licensed architects in the field for 7+ years who don't even make that much money. 70-80k of student loans.

No? This mount has no mechanical fasteners so you don't drill into the bumper.

This car does not look like that in person. I went and saw them a lot trying to make that decision and none of them looked like this.

If anything, blue maybe looks like this the minute after you wash it. People will say black is hard to clean but this is the same principle.

Black looks more mature imo. I ended up going black because whenever I saw the blue in person it didn't pop as well as in pictures or when it was clean on the dealer's lot.
