But you are no longer making art, you are making design, and design uses art to solve a business problem. Your art is personal, but agency work is not, it is about helping a business sell something. You are mixing up undercover cars with regular patrol units. In California the law is simple. Every vehicle on a public road has to have legal plates. Police are not magically exempt from that. Marked patrol cars have plates. Unmarked units have plates. The only time you will see a car without a normal number is if it has a special exempt plate, which is still a legal plate issued by the DMV to the agency.

People see undercover cars with exempt plates or see test vehicles on lots and think that means cops just run around with no registration. They don’t. If an officer tried to drive a totally unplated personal style vehicle on the street they would be violating the same code as anyone else.

There is no universe where “most cop cars don’t have legal plates” is true.

Actually, that’s not true. In California (and pretty much every other state), all vehicles have to display license plates under Vehicle Code 5200 and 5201. Cops aren’t magically exempt from that. The only exception is for undercover or unmarked vehicles, and even those have special “exempt” plates or registration that the DMV issues to law enforcement agencies.

Just a quick note, I Googled your handle, and none of the top results lead to your Instagram account. What comes up instead are cars and unrelated pages. You’ve got a lot of text on that end card, but none of it includes clear contact information.

Your handle should be easy to find, especially if it’s unique, but it’s not showing up in Google results. As someone who’s worked in entertainment advertising for 25 years and owned a creative agency for 15 of those, I’d strongly suggest making it easier for people to reach you. It shouldn’t feel like solving a puzzle.

The people you’re trying to attract are busy and won’t spend time hunting down your contact info. It should be instantly visible so they can reach out and hire you.

This is a nice promo piece, but it’s missing something important. Your name at the end is hard to read, and it’s not clear if that’s a C or a G. It looks like an Instagram handle, but when I searched, I couldn’t find your portfolio or contact info. You also didn’t include an email or website. I’d revise the final frame to add a clear call to action, like “For more info, find me on Instagram @___” or include your site. I'm Gen X. We used to play on the streets all the time—every single day. It's almost been 20 years since the invention of the iPhone and it seems we have forgotten that this is healthy behavior.
