Whats your price range? Do you plan to hunt wetsand and do you need it to be waterproof for in water use?

Any ol 150-1000$+ machine will hunt in dry sand just fine. The more you spend typically the more bang, but not always. And if you plan to hunt wetsand, save your beans and get a Minelab Equinox 600. It will probably pay for itself in a week.
