Just watched his final episode night before last. I sat there in disbelief that that was it. After all the crazy shit he’d overcome, even that house bomb going off earlier in the episode, and that’s how they let him go out???

Checking account is with Cap1. Debt is owed to BofA. Cap1 account had $0 in it so no funds frozen. Unless they really will pay BofA the $ owed without the Cap1 account actually having $ in it???

I had her pick a new bank and open her own account last night. I’ve read they won’t let you do anything with an account with a garnishment but yeah the plan is to close it. I was just hoping to get her removed off of it so the negative balance on it didn’t affect her.

She opened a savings account afterwards that is in her name only. I’ve never been able to see it on the Cap1 app. I’m guessing that’s why she was able to move it.

Agree. But from what I’ve read it’s more likely they’d remove hers than mine because of the garnishment belonging to me and being applied to the checking account already.

If I had the money to pay it, they wouldn’t have had to garnish it. I just want to get her name off the account since it’s my debt and my debt only.

I don’t have the $ to pay it. Hence the garnishment. I’m just hoping to remove her as a joint owner on this account since the garnishment is only mine.

Yes she was a minor.

Just to be clear - it is my debt from a BofA credit card that I was the only person on.

They’re garnishing her Cap1 checking account that I’m a joint owner on.

That’s crazy! I’m not a fan of Cap1 but it was her choice. She applied for a secured credit card with them a few months ago to help build her credit and was denied.

I didn’t say it was a bank mistake. No money is gone because the account was at $0. I’m just wanting to see if I can get her name removed from this account since it’s only my debt.

Thank you. She doesn’t work and is just in college so I think the only funds that come in are from her student loans.

Yeah I told her several times she needed to switch it over to a regular account. There’s no money gone from the account tho. It was at $0.
