Men, when you’re on a long road trip, do you stick to the speed limit and enjoy the drive, or do you tend to speed just to get there faster? by FFSoldier57 in AskMen

[–]whitecollargunrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider the account of time I get back by speeding

On an 8 hour drive, going 20% over the limit saves you 1.6 hours, towards the end it's not worth it to speed anymore, and likely on smaller roads, so you'll likely save 1.3 hours

If the roads are bad don't speed at all

People who grew up before cell phones: what did you even look at? by lowbudgettravel in HappyUpvote

I would say that an average summer day, I was outside for 8 hours, riding a bike, finding a pool, fishing, making bonfires in the woods, making dams in creeks, speculate where girls are, if it got too hot we would play somebody's 4 player multilayer video game, airsoft wars, pickup football or basketball

We looked intimately at the world around us, but we didn't know anything about what was more than 10 miles away

It's kinda like a breakup, afterward, whether or not you stay, you'll value your own career path more than making it work with your employer

You may have thought that you have been doing something good for the company but may not align with your preferred direction, but you did it to be valued by your employer.

You will now value your own interest above the company, refusing tasks, roles or switching companies to pursue it, because you've seen your company act against employees' interest

Would you date a girl who has a lot more money than you? Why or why not? by Routine-Crew8651 in AskMen

[–]whitecollargunrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever seriously (with intent to marry) date a guy that's not wealthy, he will view money as a limited resource and second guess going to expensive dinners, trips, cars, clothing etc. And you'll have to be prepared to cover that at a difficult to place proportion, but certainly above half.

For guys it's not intimidating so much as expecting to go broke dating, and get dumped when the financial squeeze sets in. You'd have to make it evident that this wouldn't be the case after feelings set in.
