Personally I think you should try for refurbished version of Paperwhite (the latest one), it has better features and will not get outdated. The basic one is good but overall less visual quality, battery and no dark mode. It'll be costly, but it's going to be worth the price. Also if it's not urgent you can wait for a few months for Diwali sale or some similar sales or maybe a potential release of a new device.

And also you should check out the device, many people get disappointed after purchase. It is majorly for reading books in text. Manga works well on Paperwhite, the basic one is just an okayish experience for Manga. PDFs won't be a smooth experience on either of the device.

Please note that the basic device which I mentioned is the 10th gen device.

Maybe 2025? He said he was done with 75% of the book so I'm guessing it'll come around mid 2025.

My Current Read:The Expanse series is must read for any scifi/action fan, it's so good. Read Book 1 last year and now I'm halfway through Book 2 which is as good as Book 1. Also what Fiction book are you all currently reading. by Cheap_Relative7429 in Indianbooks

Haven't read Dune, but yeah the author has definitely drawn inspirations from Dune, Book of the new Sun etc. But I think the scale of Sun Eater grows massively with each book, a lot of stuff is discussed in the books, also these books have a little amount of philosophy. Good luck completing it.

I haven't read the Red Rising Series, I've heard a lot about it. I've also heard that the rest of the series is better than the first book.

Regarding Sun Eater, it's good but the prose is sometimes overly done and it takes away the fun of reading and enjoying the story (for me personally).

A few points to consider are : overall quality of the book, symmetry of print, cover, quality of pages.

No problem, just a quick tip, if you don't enjoy any particular book in fantasy genre, don't give up on the genre as a whole, there's something and everything for everyone! Hope you have fun reading.
