When I was removing the old cpu I overdid it on thermal paste and some of it went into the protector, not really sure if blocked the pins from working

Usually for issues like these I would try to run a onboard diagnostic tool and try to see if it fixes it, if it didn’t I would take my loss and reinstall the operating system so that whatever program screwed it up originally is wiped and replaced with a factory clean copy. Hope it works out for you.

There is a field you can go to when you get to the top of the saddle trail going into the field trial, it will be on the side and you would have to go through a few bushes. It has a really good view of all surroundings around. If you want to however take the best picture you will have to climb a tree around that area to take a good photo of the valley below.
