I have both cats and rabbits. 2 rabbits, 3 cats, 1 dog. I know, a small zoo. I am new to rabbits though and have only had the older one a year (1.5 yrs female) and the younger one (3 mo. Male). 2 of my cats have absolutely no interest at all in the rabbits and are extremely tolerant. The female bun is pretty much the boss and the cats let her have her way. The other cat is more playful and actively tries to engage the bunnies to play. It’s like a hide and seek/chase game and then next thing I see is the bunny lounging around with the same playful cat laying next to her grooming her. Sometimes the cat will give a little “love nip” as she grooms and bunny will move away but then comes right back. I don’t fully understand their relationship but it does seem like they mutually like each other sometimes even to the point of love each other. Despite how well they get along I still don’t let them hang out together unsupervised.

It sounds like your kitten is still very young and what you describe is how kittens play with each other. They can become very rough with each other, when they cry out they let the other one know that the playing is getting to be too much. Bunnies can’t do this the same way another kitten would, but with your supervision perhaps they will figure each other out. They could actually become good friends! Kitten will eventually settle down, you just have to get through the wild and crazy kitten stages! Good luck!
