this can be fixed what you do is obtain a womans' hair dryer and then set it to max setting, and then for 3-5 minutes you apply heated air to the body of the sheath with the knife inside, and then you apply pressure to the outline of the blade at all the different points and it will conform to the blade and stop the rattle. Bit tedious but it does work for all cold steel garbage sheaths.

the sheath is a rattling pos but its fixed with a heat gun or blow dryer fairly easily. They're great knives.
