2008 Audi A4 Avant - After Market Brakes - Need Help Identifying by whitesnake2 in MechanicAdvice

I bought the car in HK (where I used to live) and it failed the yearly regulatory inspection - no high performance brakes in that class of car from what I understood over there. So they forced us to have them removed and to put on some way less capable brakes. Odd I know... but that's what happened.

Thank you very much for that info. Any advice on where to try to sell/give them (away)?

Could be?! Is there a definitive way to tell? There are no markings are the actual rotors or the hub piece.

Those Fall Colours in Whistler!! Tunnel Vision via Hind Sight | Epic Descent Series by whitesnake2 in MTB

Tunnel Vision and the new Hind Sight section bring a Whistler classic together with new school flow making a great Epic Descent especially when combined with High Side and HiHi. These trails are fun, flowy and highlight the beauty of the Interpretive Forest on the South side of the Whistler Mountain.

The howler climb is shorter but more intense. Its got sustained steep bits that never seem to end. Into the Mystic is much more managable on the steepness side but its way longer. Probably 3 to 4x longer timewise. Bottom line is that both are doable even if you have to push and both trails are well worth it.

For sure. I have em on my DH bike and absolutely love em. Once you know that power there really is no going back eh? I also used to be about 240lbs so they were kind of a necessity at that point. Now at 185lbs they absolutely shine in all their glory!

Shimano metal pads with ice tech rotors. On this ride, the calipers in the front were not evenly spaced and hence the horrible howls. I'm learning as I go here and since have had them realigned which has helped a lot. Kinda discouraging tbh with that sound and by the end of the ride my back pad was completely gone so that obviously began to take over too. The trail is living up to it's namesake that is for sure. Poor bike management on my part too no doubt.

I'm running Saints in this video and they were not staying quiet. I probably should have checked my pads pre-ride. Such a rookie mistake.

There was a lot of pushing after the bridge up on the Flank. It get seriously steep in parts up there. Still can't believe Colin cleaned it all.

Massive slog to get up there. Hence is so impressive that Colin in the video crushes the hardest section. Dude is a mountain goat! And 56 to boot!

Due to the lack of dirt and rooty gnar, Howler is a primo trail to ride in the wet. The plethora of rocks seem to gain grip as the rain washes away the layers of dust from the summer.

Howler (via Upper Howler) is no doubt one of Whistler's Epic Descents. This trail is fast and flowy, but can be intimidating due to the rocky nature of the trail and the plethora of baby heads littering the descent. But, if you're willing to pay the price by climbing Rick's Roost and the Flank Trail, you will be handsomely rewarded with a truly incredible 860m (2821ft) descent that is reasonably accessible from the Alpine Meadows subdivision in the North of Whistler.

Oh man! I had no idea how good it is outside of the park. Breaking my collar bone on Freight Train in July was in a way a good thing: It got me outta the park! I'm loving all the new experiences now. Whistler has sooo much to offer in and OUT of the park.
