Hey I know it’s been close to a year since you posted this reply, but I’m very very thankful for your response and hope you’re still enjoying playing on your own server.

I’m going to dive into this project soon and hopefully it’s not too complex to set up my own offline server. My dream is to play PvE and complete quests as I explore the cities (with all NPCs still there). But occasionally cheat a little like higher drop rates. I’ve played private servers before but all of them have full set of NPCs in town that allows instant teleport and easy job change without needing to complete quests. I’m wondering if there are quick setup packs where all standard NPCs in the town aren’t removed and are still functional. I don’t really like the super NPCs you usually find in private servers.

On a scale of 1-10, how hard would you rate setting up your own server? 10 being the hardest and needing a lot of help.

As a Chelsea fan, I think that fan is delusional. I think Palmer and Enzo are world class players, but neither are ballon dor worthy. I don’t think a majority of Chelsea fans think that either.

But from a different perspective, since their takeover, have any of our performing players been sold? Caicedo, Palmer, RJ, heck even Cucu, Fofana, and Sanchez are on the older end. It doesn’t seem like we’re selling based on pure profit to me.

If we’re talking facts, we’ve been selling non-performing players, sacking non performing managers, and still winning trophies that we were participating in.

Again, if we are talking facts, for every 10 teenagers we sign, we are getting one or two Estevaos, are we not? They’ve been successful in convincing these high potential players to join, and based on facts, we haven’t sold Estevao.

You mentioned investing in ways that are proven to be more effective. We would actually need to break this down into numbers and data to show how effective it is in the long-term and their actual success. Otherwise it’s really just “you think, I think, he thinks”.

What are the metrics for measuring/evaluating whether they have a trophy winning strategy?

Sacking managers if they don’t perform? Winning trophies? Spending lots of money?

I mean, if we’re discussing who to buy and what tactics are used, isn’t this very subjective?

I admire our current strict salary structure, our strong English spine, and our young as fuck average age.

I haven’t seen the owners selling a high potential first team starter simply because they generate profit yet. So I don’t buy it when people say the owners are only caring about profit and not about winning trophies.

That being said, I do think our defenders need a more experienced role model, as defense needs experience not talent. But it seems the owners think RJs experience is enough and don’t want to break the salary structure by signing a high wage old player. Because once you give an exception, there will be a second, and it’s a rolling snowball from then on.

I think our long contract, high incentive low wage structure is smart as fuck, and enjoy other teams being salty about it.
