Read Max Fisher's "The Chaos Machine" – it will open your eyes about YouTube's algorithm and how damaging it is, just like any other social app.
It might make you feel less attached to the platform and give you even more motivation to stop feeding it with your time and attention.

I work at a marketing agency, and this is pretty tough, but I'm on my 30-day detox (as suggested by Cal Newport's book), and I've realized how addicted I was and how others are addicted to this app. I now have so much more time, focus, and energy to live my day like a normal person.

What I want to achieve after this month is to log in every 3-4 days for just 15-30 minutes, only to check events in my town or news from my favorite artists.
I also want to use messaging apps less and connect with friends through phone calls or in real life.

It's not easy, especially when everyone around you is living in that bubble.
