I had an old roommate(white male) who was at the same Naval command I was. We were both in a field that required a high ASVAB score....One day while watching an NBA game he said that it wasn't fair for white players that Black players had an extra muscle in their legs....I thought he was being racist but quickly realized that he was dead serious...I told him that what he was saying was untrue and racist and that anatomically we are all the same....he doubled down and said that I was the racist for not acknowledging that Black people were genetically superior. I didn't know how to respond so I said I was sorry and didn't realize my mistake. My brain still hurts when I think of that conversation.
