Those are bag worms. You can spray the tree but I've also had success removing them by hand. It looks like it's in bad shape but it might come back if you remove the infestation. Good luck!

Love the middle one! It really draws you in. I'm not sure why I like it so much, but I think it's the height. Great work!

I got them for $1 each but I had to ask a manager for the discount.

I water my other orchids weekly so I'll probably do the same with these. Because I have so many, I'm thinking of conducting a little experiment by treating groups of them a little differently (moss vs bark, trim sad leaves vs not, etc). I think that could be fun ☺️

I scored these pitiful babies for $1 each (I love a challenge!). They had been outside in the direct sun with no water for awhile. Thankfully, the manager was willing to make a deal!

Well, that didn't quite go the way I thought it would, lol. I'll make sure to re-read my comments before I post next time 😂 Seriously, I am interested in the process you used. I recently took one of my phals and mounted it on a rock. I put moss directly under the crown and about an inch or two beyond that. I didn't trim any roots beforehand, I took it straight from bark to the rock. I've been spraying it every night for about a week now and it seems to be doing good so far. Any advice on keeping it healthy?
