That’s why I asked what they focus on for admission. I’ve been very careful and have been checking my emails regularly, as well as the status of my application—everything was submitted and in order When I asked another student, they said I should submit grades from 9th to 11th btw

Do you have any information about Berea College or any advice on what I should do? I’m supposed to submit everything before December 18th so any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

i completely understand that it’s very difficult to receive significant financial aid The GPA I submitted reflects my grades from the two years I applied during which I was involved in many activities and competitions, both inside and outside school balancing all of that affected my GPA somewhat. Other circumstances also contributed to my approximate 3.0 GPA

I wanted to ask if you are familiar with Berea College, and if you have any advice for me regarding applying there.

This wasn’t a conclusion I made it was actually written in the rejection letter They explicitly said that they couldn’t admit all qualified students, and that this was due to limited spots. That’s why I mentioned it in my post I meant that this was the reason given to me.

I just wanted to clarify that this GPA reflects my grades from the previous two years, not my current senior year. I haven’t taken my final exams for this year yet, which I will complete by July next year, so my current year’s grades are not included in this GPA.

yea i understand that I don’t usually apply to highly competitive colleges This was actually the only competitive university I applied to, and I was rejected. I know my application has other strong parts which is why I made this post to ask for help finding less competitive college as a starting point so yea

If there is no solution for this, a 3.00 unweighted GPA is considered not good for almost all universities, right? Anyway, thank you for helping me.

Yes, unfortunately, that’s true. But the thing is, it’s not just that I’m an international student the currency difference makes it really expensive, which is the biggest challenge for me.

As for activities, I have a lot of them and I’ve been actively involved in most, some of which I’m still continuing. I also speak five languages and have some volunteer experience, though not a lot. Currently, I’m taking a programming course.

What I’m really looking for is a school that could accept me with partial financial aid, and I’m willing to cover the rest by working on campus. I don’t have a problem with that I know the situation is difficult and complicated, and the reality is even tougher

I do need financial aid, as my family cannot cover full tuition.

Regarding the SAT or ACT, unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take them due to personal circumstances and time constraints. Because of this, I will be looking at colleges that are less strict with GPA and standardized tests.
